Kiran I turned over in bed and stretched my arm out, seeking the warm body that should have been there, but Daisy's side of the bed was empty. Sitting up, I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and tried to wake up enough to make sense of what was happening. The sky was pitch black, and I was sure it was still the middle of the night. Where could she have gone? Giving a groan as I rolled out of bed, I found my boxers and pulled them on, heading out the door in search of my mate. Raised voices floated up the stairs and I followed them down, recognizing Daisy's voice as she berated someone who she was obviously irritated with. “Geez, Daze,” a man's voice grumbled. “Can't I get a cup of coffee in me before you start with this sh*t again?” “Fine, but you'd better drink fast!” she snarled at him.
