The best way to live life was at your own pace, surrounding yourself with luxury and the finer things of life.
And I was doing just that before I got interrupted.
My ear pods were firmly planted in my ears, blasting out my favorite music until a staff interrupted my serene moment.
“U-um, madam, you have a visitor.” She stuttered out, much to my annoyance.
Gritting my teeth, I simply opened one eye, waiting for her to continue.
“I know you said no visitors but he was pretty insistent, saying that he had important information to pass across to you.” She wrung her hands, too afraid to look at me properly.
“Let him in but have Jake on standby,” I added before she left. “He might be needed to take the trash out.”
