Chapter 10               I make my way to my room and see that the door is open. I look in and see Brian sitting on the edge of the bed leaning over into his hands as his elbows rest on his knees. I slowly shut the door behind me making it click. Brian looks up and his face is red. His eyes are back to normal but I know he’s beating himself up on the inside. I need to go easy on him but still be firm. “I’m so sorry Myr…” Brian starts to say as I raise my hand up to stop him from talking. I walk into the closet looking for a shirt to change into because of the blood. I need to take a shower before changing. I grab a shirt and some shorts walking out of the closet passing Brian as he watches me with a sorrowful look and into the bathroom. I strip down to nothing walking into the shower and turning on the water. I walk out the shower and I gasp seeing Brian standing in front of me with his head down. I step to the side of the shower wall and he places his hands on either side of me pinning me to where I can’t move. I cover my breasts up with my arms crossing my legs slightly turning to the side. I can’t believe he would want me still after what happened. It has been on my mind for so long but I didn’t know how he felt. We didn’t do anything except kissing sense he saved me. I’m disgusted with myself. I see Brian look up to me and in his eyes I know he was sorry. What he did to me did scare me but I forgive him he didn’t mean to do that. “I never ever wanted or want to hurt you. Please…” I stop him from finishing as I shook my head looking down away from his gaze. “I don’t hate you, I forgive you. I know what happened wasn’t your fault or Docs but please try to keep control of your wolf. I’m not mad at you for it. Yes I was scared at first but I had time to think about it.” “Then why are you acting like this?” He asks looking down at me covering myself. “When you had told me that you wanted to mate with me not caring who’s around made me think…” “I meant it but I would never put you in that situation.” “It’s not that Brian. I don’t see how you could still…want me…after what you saw with…Jason.” I say choking at the end of my sentence. Brian runs his hand down his face turning around away from me walking to the sink. I feel my eyes burn but I need to be strong for myself. No matter what he decides to do I need my mind to be clear. Brian places his hands on the counter leaning into the mirror looking at me. “Look at your hand.” He tells me. I look at my hand. “The other one.” He corrects me. I move my other hand and look at the ring that Brian gave me. “I cannot change your past, but I can help shape your future with mine. Yes it bothers me knowing what he and the others did. I wanted to rip him apart, I wanted to claim you in front of him as he choked on his blood. I have come to terms that I love you more than anything, whatever happened to you, I accepted it knowing that it’ll never happen to you again. I love you.” I feel my eyes burn more as I slide down the wall. Brian comes over to me squatting down to my level. How was I supposed to look at him now? I’m mad at myself for even thinking he’ll hate me for it. After all he has done for me afterwards I probably just ruined it. I feel a hand under my chin gently picking my head up to make me look at him. Brian’s beautiful eyes looking back at me make me cry even more. “I’m sorry.” I tell him. “Has this been on your mind?” I nod me head at him blinking the tears out of my eyes. “Why didn’t you just say something?” I chuckle a little at his question. “I didn’t know what to say. I didn’t want to come up to you and ask you what you thought about Jason f*****g me or how can you still love me after what you came upon while I was getting f****d by that monster.” “Look it’s in the past now. You are mine and you’ll always be mine. I love you and you are what I want. After WE deal with your father we’ll get married and be happy.” I smile as he told me we are getting married. I started to feel bad for bring this up but I needed to know. I needed to know if it bothered him or not. I know now and will never bring it up again. “Now will you get up and t…” I throw my arms around Brian’s neck before he could finish and we both land on to the floor. We both laugh next to each other on the bathroom floor and Brian wipes the tears from my eyes. I see Brian’s eyes change color and his hand freezes against my cheek. I start to get worried grabbing a hold of his hand against my cheek. A few minutes go by and Brian looks at me with a small smirk. “Take a shower and I’ll be back. Something has come up and no one is telling me what’s going on.” He tells me helping me up off the floor. We hug and he kisses me on my forehead. He leaves and I walk into the shower. I walk to the sink after getting dressed and check my stitches in my lip. I washed all the blood away drying my stitches gently with a towel. The numbing meds are wearing off so it’s a bit sore to the touch. I can see everywhere around my lip is still red but my chin up the left side to my nose is turning a darker color. I figured I would have a bruise from it but I’m worried how Brian would react in the morning when it’s darker. I walk out of the bedroom looking at the clock. It was still early and I’m hungry. I walk out of my room and head to the kitchen. When I arrive to the base of the stairs I see no one around. It’s very quiet in here as well. I walk into the kitchen and see no maids as well. “This is weird.” I say opening the fridge door I look inside thinking I might find something but nothing in here that I don’t have to cook. The head maid doesn’t like anyone in her kitchen cooking. She even smacked Brian with a wooden spoon on his hand for reaching for a pan. I shiver at the thought of it shutting the door. I turn around and walk to the pantry. I open and find some gummies. I grab a small bag and lean against the counter eating them. “Can I have one?” I look over to a young boy. I notice it’s the boy from the storage shed that I helped because of his mother missing. “Would you like your own little bag?” “Yes but I don’t know how to open it.” He says pouting. I giggle a little. I grab another gummy bag out looking at the boy. “I’ll open it for you if you tell me your name.” He face lit up with the biggest smile. He comes closer to me and he nods his head. “Name is Travis.” I pick him up and place him on the counter. “Here you are Travis.” I tell him handing him the little gummy bag. I finish mine and throw the bag away. “Hey Travis do you know where everyone is?” I ask hoping he might know. “Yes Luna. Can you carry me and I’ll show you.” I smile at him knowing that I would carry him. He holds his arms out for me to pick him up and hold him. I slide him off the counter and he uses his free hand to wrap around my neck. He points toward 2 large double doors across the room. He puts the last gummy in his mouth and I throw the bag away for him. I walk up to 1 of the doors and slowly open it. I see everyone standing around looking at something. I stand behind a few pack members and couldn’t see anything. I can hear a man talking about a Luna or something. Travis sneezes and a few of the pack members turn around. They look at me wide eyed; they bow toward me saying “Luna” telling others as well. The others look and bow making a path for me to walk forward. I walk smiling and nodding my head toward them. “No father I have a Luna and the pack has accepted her. I do not need this she-wolf.” I hear Brian up ahead and I wanted to know what is going on. I make it to the front of the crowd with all of them still bowing to me. Brian looks over to me with a smile. A very beautiful skinny blonde woman stands next to him. A tall man stands next her that looks like Brian next to that man is a small very petite brunet woman. I place Travis down seeing his mother I kneel down in front of him fixing his shirt. “Go to your mother Travis. I’ll see you later.” I tell him smiling. He smiles back planting a kiss on my cheek. “Thank you Luna.” “You’re welcome.” I tell him standing up. I turn around to face the pack noticing they’re still bowing. “Please everyone stand. I understand a slight bow but this long of one I do not need. All I ask in return is your happiness.” They stand smiling at me but they all look down as I hear heavy foot steps behind me. I turn around and look up to a man that looks like Brian. “Who are you?” He asks. “I’m Myr. I’m Brian’s secretary, mate and this packs future Luna.” I say standing my ground. “Who are you?” “I’m the Alpha before Brian, Brian’s father.” My eyes go wide that makes him smirk. “Well if I knew you were coming I would have had some welcoming party ready and a something nicer to wear.” I say looking down at my shirt and shorts. “Why are you here? You are nothing but a mere human.” “And?” I say crossing my arms in front of me looking back up at the man. “Humans are weak and a disgrace.” I hear some of the pack members growl a bit but I place my hand up to stop them. This man thinks he’s going to bully me in front of my family. “Humans are weak when it comes to wolf strength but are quick to think and quick to keep control of ourselves.” As I said that I see Brian flinch. I wanted so badly to go hug him but I had to deal with his father first. His father scoffed and stood straight up looking down at me. “Why are you here?” He smirks looking back behind him holding his hand out to the beautiful blonde woman. “I’ve come here to give this pack a Luna that is a wolf, beautiful, strong, and knows her place.” I walk to the other side of him where he’s between her and I. I felt something wanting to crawl out of me and tear her head off. I wanted to claim Brian now. I take a deep breath and look at the pack next to me. “So you think you need a Luna that isn’t human, I understand how you feel about that. Humans can’t win a fight against any of you. Humans can’t run like any of you. Humans can’t tear into their enemies like butter.” I look at Brian’s father now getting mad feeling myself wanting to explode but I do my best to stay calm. “This weak human that stands in front of you isn’t innocent; I’m not that type of person to sit back and have my pack do all the work for me. Yes I’m still learning, yes I’m not marked or the official Luna right now. I have done enough sacrifices for this pack before even knowing about most of the wolf life. I will put myself into harm’s way before watching one of my family members gets hurt or dies. I have killed the leader of the rouge pack that was here not too long ago. I did that because I knew my family was in danger. I promised a little boy to bring his mother back. I sacrificed myself to save this pack, many were wounded and I stopped the fighting just in time before anyone died. Can you tell me that this blonde bimbo has done anything like that?” Brian’s father shifted and I can see his eyes turn dark. I turn towards the pack smiling at them as they all look toward me. “Everyone here I ask you to choose. This is your pack, your family, which Luna do you want? I will not be mad at any of you if you choose her. I want to know what your thoughts are. Please stand on either side of the room to show who you want as your Luna.” I say splitting the room with my arms. I look at Brian and he has the biggest smile on his face. I turn toward Brian’s father and his face is in shock as I hear the packs footsteps walking behind me. Every single one of them stood behind me. Travis came up to me grabbing my hand. I bent down to his level to ask him a question. “Travis please tell this man why you want me to be your Luna.” Travis brings a hand to my face lightly touching my stitches on my chin and lip. “I want you to be Luna because no matter what has happened to you, you’re still beautiful and you saved my mother. Someone that runs into danger to save a stranger is a good person.” “Thank you Travis.” I say feeling a tear at the corner of my eye. I see a woman step forward and I recognize her from the hospital. “This woman, future Luna of my pack, saved my mate during a raid. If she didn’t do what she did then my mate would have been dead. I want her to be my Luna.” Another person comes forward next to her. “She went out of her way to help me around the pack. Something neither one of you guys did when you were in charge. This Luna takes the time out of her day to help us, get to know us, and understand what we do here.” I nod my head to her standing up holding onto Travis’s hand. “This weak human carried me in my wolf form to get me help, before she killed a rouge that had its dirty fangs around my neck in front of my mate. If it wasn’t for her quick thinking I would be dead.” A man said in the crowd not seeing him. Brian’s father raises his hand to stop the others from speaking. He walks up to me grabbing my chin pulling and forcing me to look at him. I feel the pain in my face from the bruising but I showed no pain on my face. “I see that the pack has chosen you. The first f**k up you do, I’ll get rid of you the next moment. Now how did you get this bruising and stitches?” I put my hand on his wrist trying to pull away but he was too strong for me. He tightens his hold on my. “How?” He says. I see Brian try to get away from the other woman’s hold and I feel anger stir up inside of me. “Let go of me.” I tell him. He smirks squeezing me harder. “Let go of me NOW!” I feel his hand drop and he stands still wide eyed looking me. I reach to my chest feeling something wanting to crawl out of me using the force behind my voice. Everyone in the room didn’t say anything or move. “Thank you.” I say rubbing my chin. “I got this during a fight. I wanted to save someone and I did.” I say looking over at Brian. I can see the guilt in his eyes. “Now you guys are guests in Alpha Brian’s house, you can be civil or leave. I have nothing else to say to either of you.” I turn around guiding Travis back to his mother and one by one the pack members come up to give me hugs. After everyone is done hugging me I start to walk toward the way out but I feel arms around my waist pulling me into a hard chest. I lean my head back and see Brian’s beautiful eyes looking back at me. He leans down snuggling into my neck. “You are something you know that?” He says into my neck. I giggle as his stubble moves against my skin. “Is that a good thing?” I ask him. He nods his head making me giggle more. I try to move away but he has a very good hold on me. “Brian we need to leave in a few hours are you sure you have everything?” “Yes I have men that will meet us at the airport. Half of them will be coming with us. The other men that will be with us will already be in Scotland.” “Will I be meeting your business partner?” “Sèitheach? Yes he wants to meet you as well. I kind of explained a few things and I told him that you had a business proposal for him.” “Did you tell him about…” “No, I didn’t.” “Thank you.” “Brian.” Brian lets go of me and we both turn around to the woman that was holding him back when I was dealing with Brian’s father. “Mother.” Brian says holding my hand.  “I want to meet your mate.” Brian looks at me with a small smile. “Myr this is my mother Vinnes, mother this is my mate Myr.” I hold my hand out for her to shake but she comes up to me and hugs me tightly. I look at Brian and he’s smiling. “Thank you standing up to my husband. He needed that, someone needed to put him in his place for once.” She says whispering in my ear. She pulls away and I was shocked at her. I figured she would be mad at me for treating her mate the way I did. “Now I’m headed off to bed. We’ll get to know each other better when you two get back.” She walks off and I look at Brian. “Are they staying here?” “Yes it’s tradition to have the former Alpha to take over when the Alpha in charge is away.” I nod and look over to his father. I start to walk over to his father letting Brian’s hand go so he doesn’t stop me. I hear him walking right behind me. I stop at Brian’s father as he turns toward me. “Now I know why you are here. I appreciate that you will take care of this pack while Alpha Brian and I are gone. If I find out you have done anything to harm my family you will not be around anymore.” “Are you threatening me?” “No I made a promise. Another thing…send that blonde bimbo away. I don’t want her here. She has no reason to be here. You saw who this pack wants and she’s not it. I want her gone before I leave this morning. I have friends here that will let me know everything.” I bow to him slightly and walk away. Brian stays behind talking to his father and I head to the room. I lay down on the bed and the moment my head hit the pillow I fall asleep.
