Chapter 31 family matters

SEAN'S POV
It was 8:10am Skylar has just fallen back to sleep, so I'm just cover her back up with a blanket, after putting her back into the mosebasket. Me and summer had taken turns seeing to Skylar during the night and it was my turn again.
As I climb back into bed Summer turns over in her sleep facing me and opens and closes her eyes really quickly looking tired still. "Is Princess asleep again?" Summer barely whispers.
"Yes, go back to sleep" I say cuddling up to Summer. Summer cuddles in closer to me infact summer has clung to me for dear life during the hours we slept.
"Are you okay?" I ask after kissing Summers forehead.
"I need a break from stress, but right now I will settle for a few more hours sleep" she replys while tighten her grip around my waist.
"Okay let's get some more sleep." I say
As I'm drifting off to sleep I hear the door open so I open my eyes and see Lisa is stood there crying.
"What's wrong Lisa?" I ask
Summer quickly turns around to look at Lisa after hearing what I said.
Mum went for a bath, I thought I'd be okay Lisa says.
"Come on get in" Summer Says lifting the quilt cover.
I shuffle over and Summer does the same as Lisa runs over to get in the bed as well.
"Did you sleep much?" I ask as Lisa cuddles up to summer
"No" Lisa replys.
"Okay let's all try to get some sleep." I say sleepy scooting over to the edge of the bed.
"I agree get some sleep, I will look after you" summer says wrapping a arm over Lisa.
Lisa stops crying after a few minutes and I can see Summer is rubbing Lisas back. Before long she falls asleep and Summer falls back to sleep quickly to.
I decided to let them both sleep and took Skylar downstairs with me, I leave Skylar in the front room while I go to the kitchen to get myself a drink and some breakfast.
"Morning," Ryan says as I walk into the kitchen.
"Wheres dad?" I ask
"Oh, he left to complete taking over that hoe's family business saying it should be all complete today." Ryan says
I couldn't help but smile. "Well it's what they deserve. Now we just need to deal with Simon but we can't allow Summer or mum to know." I say
"I totally agree" Ryan says handing me his cup.
"You still take 2 sugars?" I ask
"Yeah how could you forget" he says.
"Just checking, I'm tired and Lisa is cuddled up with Summer in bed." I say
"Oh that's where your sister went to" my mum says coming in.
"Yes, do you want a drink mum?" I ask
"Well since your making drinks I won't say no." my mum says
I quickly fill the kettle before turning it on.
"Mum, I'm popping out do you need anything!" Ryan asks.
"Not that I can think off, if I think of anything I will send you a message" she says back.
"What about your drink?" I ask
"Don't worry, I'm drinking that first" he says smirking at me.
"How are we going to get Lisa through this?" I ask
"I'm not sure yet but as a family I'm sure we can get our Lisa back to the happy go lucky girl we all know she is" Ryan days.
"I hope so, I hate seeing her this way." my mum says
"Heres your drink" I say handing my mum and Ryan there cups.
"Mum you want some breakfast?" I ask
"No, thanks I'm not hungry." my mum says
"Okay" I say quickly pouring coco pops into a bowl.
"How's my grand baby?" my mum asks.
"She is good asleep in the front room, I figured I'd let summer and Lisa get some sleep." I say joining them at the table.
"Well I'm going to join my grand baby then" my mum says getting up and leaving the kitchen.
Me and Ryan just chuckle at our mum leaving us for Skylar.
SUMMERS POV
I woke up to Lisa thrashing her arms," no, no, no, stop! Please don't" she is crying in her sleep.
"Lisa, Lisa wake up Lisa" I say gentle shake her.
Lisa wakes up crying.
"Shh it's okay it was just a nightmare" I say hugging her.
"Did you wake up like this during the night?" I ask.
"Yes" Lisa says once she stops crying.
"Okay come on let's get up and get you something to eat and drink" I say getting out of bed.
"I can't face the world, please don't make me" Lisa begs.
"We are only staying in the house everyone here only loves you and wouldn't hurt you. You know this so come on you can't stay hidden in bed all day." I say holding out my hand for Lisa.
Lisa stands up and grabs my arm.
"Lisa look at me" I say. Lisa looks at me but still clings to my arm.
"You know your safe here you don't have to cling to anyone your safe okay." I say
She nods her head and let's go of my arm.
"Okay let's go get food and find my baby" I say as we walk out the bedroom.
"Baby girl? My queen" Ryan says as we reach down stairs.
"Morning" I say.
Ryan looks at Lisa with soft eyes.
"Baby girl? How do you feel?" he asks.
"I don't know" Lisa says playing with her hands rubbing them together while her fingers and fiddling around to. Lisa seems to keep her eyes darting everywhere as well.
"Okay well I'm just heading out do you both need anything?" Ryan asks.
"I'm good thanks my king" I say.
"Lisa?" I ask looking at Lisa who seems like she wants to run away.
"Ice cream" she finally says.
"Okay, ice cream I shall get" Ryan then gives me a hug before turning to Lisa.
"Can I give you a hug as well baby girl?" He asks.
"No, sorry but you wear the same aftershave as as him and I feel like hurling already" Lisa says starting to cry.
"It's okay I understand baby girl I will have a shower when I get back and buy myself a new aftershave" Ryan says with sadden eyes.
"I'm sorry" Lisa says.
"No, you don't need to be sorry" I say, at the same time Ryan says "don't you dare say sorry to me I understand baby girl."
I wrap a arm around Lisa as we turn around to continue on our way
"What's wrong?" Karen asks as she walks out the living room.
"Mum I smell like him, its my aftershave so I'm just going to go" Ryan says before leaving.
"Oh" Karen says looking at me and Lisa.
"Come on let's go get some breakfast" I say.
Lisa follows Me to the kitchen and I make us some breakfast.
As we are eating breakfast Sean walks in cuddling Skylar. "Look who's awake" he says.
"Aww mummy's princess, did you miss mummy?" I say as Sean sits on the chair next to me.
"She missed aunty Lisa more" Lisa says
"Ha, I think skylar is more a daddy's girl" Sean quickly pipes in.
"Hell no she is a mummy's girl because us girls stick together isn't that right Lisa?" I say
"Yeah us girls stick together" lisa says trying to give me a smile.
"How are you feeling this morning?" Sean asks Lisa.
"I don't want to talk about it" she replys.
Seans phone rings and he quickly hands Skylar to me before leaving the kitchen to take the call.
"We have to go home today, but if you need me ring me" I say to Lisa.
"I wish you could stay longer" is all Lisa barely whispers as a reply.
"Lisa it's not that I don't want to stay and help you through this, but I have a newborn baby and I need to have a routine for me and Skylar. I will always be here for you but since Skylar has been born there's been so much that has happened, I need to focus on a routine for us both. But that won't stop me being a phone call away if you really need me day or night and your welcome to come see us whenever you want as well." I say
"I don't think I could leave the house right now, but I appreciate knowing your there for me. I also understand you need a routine for you and Skylar and Im thankful for how you helped me already, please don't think I'm ungrateful" Lisa says with tears in her eyes.
"Oh, sweetie I'd never think your ungrateful and I'm glad I could help in hour of need but you need to remember it's okay to be upset and angry at the world but you need to come back stronger than before don't let that piece of trash ruin all of your life! There's a world waiting to see what Lisa King is made of once your ready. "I say
"You should listen to your own advice Summer don't let postnatal depression or my brother stop the world seeing what Summer Ballard is made of either" Lisa says holding my hand.
"I won't we can show the world together that is women stick together and rule world how does that sound?" I say
"Yeah we can do it together doesn't sound so scary when you have someone to do it with you" Lisa says trying to plaster a smile on her its faked but it looks strained and more of a frown, I'm just glad Lisa is trying to be positive for a second at least.
"Okay do you want to spend some time with Skylar while I get our stuff sorted?" I ask.
"Yeah, give me my niece already" Lisa says holding out her arms.
SEAN'S POV
After getting of the phone to my dad and discovering Shans family business is now not there business I was thrilled! We will teach her for messing with my family. And Leo had rung as I finished up my breakfast saying they had finally let her go she wouldn't be able to do anything for a few days since she is now probably in the hospital. Now I just need to plan with my dad and Ryan how we are gonna deal with the prick Simon.
"Oh your off the phone" Summer says walking into my childhood bedroom.
"Yes, Where's Skylar?" I ask
"She is with Lisa while I start to pack up" Summer says heading for the her overnight bag.
"Lisa loves being a aunty, so hopefully Skylar cuddles will help, maybe we should stay a few more days." I say
"No, I already spoke this through with Lisa as much as I want to help her through this I literally had a baby like 2 weeks ago, a newborn baby is in my care! My body still is not back to normal and so many things have happened. I need to get me and Skylar into a normal routine your lucky we are going back to the apartment and not looking for a private landlord to rent from right now" summer says.
"Okay, I'm sorry I know you have been through alot I just want to protect you all and be there for you all." I say
"Well I need get changed and pack up" Summer says head for the bathroom.
I run my hand through my hair taking a deep breath. Me and my big mouth. Damn it.
I decided to pack up Skylar stuff to help out. By the time I'm done Summer is all showered and dressed in black trousers with a baby pink fluffy hulter neck jumper. Her hair is also up in a bun.
"I've packed Skylar" stuff I say.
"Okay, i just need to pack my clothes then I will get summer ready to leave" Summer says.
"I can do that." I say
"No, you can start packing the car up if you want to though, I will see to Skylar I've barely had anytime with her these past few days, so let me do it" Summer says
"Okay I will pack up the car then" I say
As I'm taking the first few bits to the car Ryan pulls up.
"Leaving so soon?" he asks getting out his car.
"Yeah trust me I wanted to stay a few more days but summer wants to go get some kinda routine with Skylar and now she seems grumpy as she has barely had time with Skylar these past few days. I feel like no matter what I do I can't get things right." I say
"Ooo" Ryan says.
"Yeah, by the way are you still going back to America?" I ask.
"Nope, I'm staying until Lisa is okay the business can wait. Talking of business shouldn't you be going back so dad can support Lisa at home?" He says with an annoyed tone.
"Maybe your right but Summer needs me still as well. I don't know what to do." I say
"You should speak with dad and figure something out" is all Ryan says before we walk back into the house.
"Sean we need to hurry, I want to make the afternoon health visitor clinic to get Skylar weighed" summer says walking down stairs with her over night bag.
"Okay, I'm nearly done what time is the clinic again?" I ask.
"1-3pm and its already 12:30" She says.
"We have plenty of time then stop fretting, we will make it." I say then I hurry and pack the car up. After saying our goodbyes we and had Skylar weighed. We spent a hour waiting and Summer wasn't impressed insisting next time we arrive just before clinic starts so we don't have to wait ages. I couldn't help but agree. Skylar has gained 2 ounce so Summer was happy. But then we ended up sitting in the car before going anywhere as Skylar needed a feed. And now we are currently driving back to the apartment.
"Are you upset with me?" I ask.
"Why what have you done now?" Summer says looking at me.
"Nothing, you just seem snappy and not in a good mood with me." I say
"I'm just stressed after everything that's happened lately, I feel like I shouldn't of come back! Being a new mother wasn't ment to start with so much drama. I just want a peaceful life" summer Says looking out the window.
"I know, and things will get better I promise, tell me what you want and need and I will make it happen." I say
PING
"My dad Says he is cooking tacos do we want some" summer says.
"Yeah tacos sound great, tell him we are 15 minutes away." I say.
"But it's 5 minutes away" Summer asks puzzled.
"I know but I want to stop by somewhere first." I say.
Summer doesn't even respond as she types the reply out.
