Chapter 47 Surpised by the family.

SUMMERS POV

Me and Sean went upstairs and joined Lisa to eat our breakfast, by the time we came back up she was changing Skylar nappy and still hadn't eaten her breakfast.

Alright hand her over I say.

No, I'm enjoying spending some time with Skylar Lisa pouts.

You can spend more time with her once you have eaten your breakfast Sean says.

I totally agree we need to eat, before we get our baking session on I say.

DING DONG

who's that Lisa asks looking nervous.

I don't know but it's alright your safe here I say standing up to go answer the door.

No let me Sean says getting up also.

But it's my house who ever it is won't be here for you will they, just stay with Lisa so she feels safe I say walking towards the bedroom door.

Fine he grumbles sitting back down on the bed with Lisa, with that I hurry downstairs to get the door.

As I open it I see both my parents and my brother Simon shouting surprise.

What are you all doing here I ask shocked to see them all.

We plotted to all get back earlier than planned for Christmas so we can enjoy a few extra days with you my dad says.

Yeah now Where's my grand daughter my mum says while giving me a hug.

She is upstairs with Lisa and Sean I say.

How is Lisa my dad asks.

Well still bad but I persuaded her to come bavke cookies and get out the house I say.

Oh cookies can I help to Simon says.

Fine since your the one with the cooking skills in the family I say chuckling.

Okay hurry get in already its cold stood here I say.

With that everyone piles in to the house quickly and I shut the door to keep the cold out.

Okay I will make you all drinks, mum it would be best if only you go up and announce your here as Lisa is a little spooked by the door going I say.

Okay dear she says starting to go upstairs.

With that I head to the kitchen and put the kettle on.

So how's your week been Simon asks following me into the kitchen.

Yeah it's been good but even better now you all arrived I say.

That's good, I missed you and Skylar Simon says.

No you lie you missed Skylar the most I say.

Nonsense I still missed you even if I missed Skylar more he says laughing.

Alright get me the milk from the fridge please I say while getting the cups out.

Simon goes and gets the milk out of the fridge.

Once the drinks are made me and Simon make our way to the front room as I hear my mum, Lisa coming downstairs. My mum is carrying Skylar while Lisa is carrying her breakfast.

Where's Sean I ask seeing he isn't with them.

That fool I made him go get dressed my mum says while Lisa laughs.

Oh, well I made him make breakfast while I got ready for the day as Lisa wanted to see to Skylar I say.

Well now I'm seeing to Skylar so you can eat your breakfasts in peace my mum says smiling.

With that I go put the drinks in the front room upon the fireplace.

Okay I'm going to grab my breakfast I say heading straight back out the front room not paying attention to what everyone is talking about. As I reach the top of the stairs I see Sean walking towards the bathroom with his clothes in hand.

We have to stop meeting like this I say.

Hmm, I'd much prefer to keep meeting like this Sean says while winking at me.

Ha, I can think of much more better places to meet than just the landing I say.

Oh yeah like where Sean says walking closer to me and blocking my path to bedroom, where my breakfast awaits.

Lile the front room I say.

Hmm anywhere else he asks with a mischievous look and a smug grin.

No, the front room is all I can think off, anyway don't you need to get your smelly ass into the bathroom I say giving him the same smirking grin back.

Aww, you hurt my feelings he says pretty to have a hurt expression across his face but fails by the grinning he can't help instead.

Me, horrible never! Now move yourself my breakfast is getting cold I say gently poking him in the side. Sean just stands there raising his eyebrows at me.

You think a tiny poke will make me move he asks.

What do you want I ask, knowing he is up to something.

Nothing he says before I can respond Sean kisses my lips quickly again then quickly moves past me.

Twice in one morning, this sure as hell is a beautiful day Sean says as he walks into the bathroom shutting the door.

That crazy fool I think to myself as go and grab my breakfast.

SEAN'S POV

It certainly is a great day I think to myself as I step into the shower I slide the shower curtain across and turn it on. I've already put my phones music play list on. I'm in a great mood as how Summer hasn't seemed to of gotten angry and looks like she is warming up to me again slowly I couldn't be anymore happier.

I wash my hair as as Ed sheeran lego house comes on, on of my favourite songs so I sing along as I rinse my hair and body off from the soap. Once I'm done I continue to finish singing the song before I turn the shower off. Then I open the shower curtain and go to grab the towel however Summer is stood there holding the towel out for me with a smirking grin on her face. I jump out of my skin since I didn't hear here enter the bathroom.

What the hell you scared he half to death I say stepping out the shower and taking the towel.

Well I just figured id show you what it's like to be caught of guard summer says before going to run out the bathroom.

However I'm not having that I quickly grab Summers wrist and turn her to face me as I pin her gently to the door.

Oh, playing games are we I say smiling at Summer.

No, not playing games just getting payback for your games this morning she says with a smug grin.

Hmm well I think it's my turn I say then lean down and kiss Summer, she slightly parts her lips and before I know it we are both wrestling our tongues for who is taking charge of the kiss. However I win this and Summer brings arms around my neck as I take a step closer, closing the slight gap between us. I start to kiss down Summers neck as I lift her slightly off the ground and summer wraps her legs around my waist.

We should stop Summer suddenly says.

Why I ask before playing enougher kiss on her neck before looking back up at summer in her eyes.

Because it's to soon, I'm not ready for this yet Summer says.

How come your not ready I ask not letting her go yet.

Im not ready for such activities my body is still sentive and sore at times since giving birth, plus I think we shouldnt rush back into anything take things slow while I learn to trust you again Summer says.

Okay, I won't do anything other than kiss you until your ready I can't resist kissing you though I say honestly back.

Okay I can live with that Summer says.

I gently place a quick kiss on her lips before I put Summer down and make sure she is steady on her feet before fully taking my arms away from her.

I'm going to join the others now Summer says walking out the bathroom.

I can't help smiling knowing for sure now that summer is slowly coming round to me again and opening up about how she feels about me. And I will respect her wishes and do as she needs no matter how long it takes I think to myself as I start to get dressed.

15 minutes later I'm walking into the front room while finally eating my breakfast.

Oh look, that's a better sight Karen says.

Thanks I scrub up well don't I, I say smiling.

I suppose Lisa says.

And your ment to be my sister I say pouting at Lisa.

I am that's why I can be brutally honest with you and get away with it Lisa says laughing.

Fine if it makes you happy then so be it I say smiling. To be fair anything that makes my sister happy I'd do just to see her genuinely happy again with life I think to myself.

Well I've been thinking about that and I don't want to go back to college this year I was thinking maybe after Christmas I could come work for you Lisa says suddenly.

Oh no! Your not giving up your dream job you can take the rest of the college year off even a extra year if need be and I will pay you to stay out of work and college just to become yourself again but you will go back and train for your dream job when your ready, I say.

But Lisa goes to say.

No buts Lisa its to soon to be making such drastic choices, you can take time off to look after yourself and then when your ready we can talk more about it. In the meantime just focus on yourself end of discussion I say.

Lisa Sean is right you should listen to him Kenny says.

Okay I will give it more time Lisa says.

Well now that's cleared up let's get baking Summer says changing the subject.

Alright what flavour cookies are we making Simon says.

Shortbread, cinnamon and ginger ones Summer says.

Let's get baking then Lisa says standing up.

With that Summer and Simon follow Lisa out the front room to go start there baking.

So how has Summer really been Kenny suddenly asks me.

She had a little wobble but since then she has been good and seems to be getting happier as the days passes I say while finally taking a seat.

I'm glad to hear, and how's business going Kenny ask.

The days are long and the nights are shorter, I hate being away from Skylar and summer during the days I say.

That's natural being a new parent and leaving your baby at home fore the first few weeks is always hard Sandy says.

How's everything back home I ask sandy and Kenny.

It's all sorted now, we can relax and enjoy Christmas with everyone without worrying about anything Sandy says.

Then we hear music has been put on in the kitchen and I can't help smiling at the thought of Summer and Lisa starting to be happier again in life.

You look happy Kenny says.

Lisa and Summer have both had a rough time lately, it's just nice seeing them starting to be happy again, infact Summer has been a blessing in disguise helping bring Lisa out of her depression these past few days, we were all so worried about Lisa we didn't know what to do. But Summer seems to of gotten through to Lisa enough to see Lisa smile again at moments is amazing I say.

I'm glad there both doing better hopefully with Christmas in a few days they will both have there spirits fully lifted again sandy says.

SUMMERS POV

We spent the rest of the morning making cookies. Then had lunch while they cooled down ready to decorate. After lunch my mum and dad said they were going Christmas shopping and left the rest of us to carry on with our day. Sean said he would look after Summer while we decorated the cookies however I opted to leave Lisa and Simon to decorate them while i sat with Sean and Skylar who is wide awake after her feed.

Sean had dressed her in the cute little elf outfit she has while we were baking cookies and she just looks so cute. I quickly took a few photos of Skylar then a few of me and Skylar.

Can I have a photo with you both Sean asks.

Yeah sure I say.

Sean sat closer to me and Skylar as he took my phone to take a selfie of us all together.

Can you send that picture to me please Sean ask.

Yeah I say taking my phone back and sending it across to Sean.

I'm going to get it printed and framed for my office desk Sean says smiling while looking at the picture.

When are you breaking up for Christmas break I ask.

I figured I'd go in tomorrow then take the rest of Christmas off. I'm not going back until January the 4th as well Sean says.

Really your taking that long off I ask shocked.

Yeah it's our first Christmas with Skylar and I don't want to miss to much of it Sean says.

Thats fair enough, I say feeling a little disappointed he only wants to spend time with Skylar but then confused as to why I'm upset at that isn't that what I originally wanted coming back.

What's wrong Sean asks.

Nothing I'm fine I say plastering on a smile.

Are you not looking forward to having me around more Sean asks worriedly.

Yeah, if course it will be good for you to have more bonding time with Skylar I say.

But I don't just want binding time with Skylar I want time as a family Sean says.

But you just said you didn't want to miss alot of Skylar first Christmas I say.

Yeah, I know but it doesn't mean I don't want to spend time with you, I want to spend as much time with both of you Sean says then places a kiss on my cheek.

Really? So your not just trying to make a effort for Skylar sake I ask.

If that was the case I wouldn't of spent the whole time sending people looking for you them months you disappeared, I wouldn't of shown up at your relatives houses and hounded Katy continously asking where you are! Even me and Ryan had servel arguements because I only contacted him asking about you, your my life and now Skylar is just as important to me as you are never forget that or doubt my feelings for you Sean says.
