My eyes sprang open to the bright atmosphere of the hospital. I tried to turn but Riley's hands pressed mine, with a look on her face asking me not to move.

“Lina, thank God you're awake” she said, leaning to hug me. “Ouch!” I exclaimed, feeling a sharp pain in my abdomen, reminding me that I was pregnant.

“M.. my baby. Did anything happen to my baby?” I asked quickly, almost drowned in fear until she shook her head indicating that I was fine.

“What happened?” I asked her, feeling confused about the situation.

“I'd come to give you the pregnancy results which you forgot at home before leaving. Instead, I found you lying unconscious on the ground bleeding. I had to bring you to the hospital quickly” she said.

“What really happened between you and the Alpha? Because I sent a message to him about you being In the hospital but he hasn't responded since” Riley stated.

“The alpha is no longer my mate. Riley, he rejected me” I revealed. My chest beamed with pain as I spoke.

“I'm so sorry, Lina. But you have to tell him about the pregnancy.”

“No, there's no need for that. He doesn't care about me, because of him, I've lost what's left of my wolf. I'm not going to let him take my child away from me”

“Right. I should respect your decision… So what do you plan to do next?” She asked.

“I'm leaving the pack. My grandmother lives in the countryside. I will be staying there and raising my baby with her as well. I'll also get a job as soon as I can”

“W… what? A job? Lina, you know how bad it is when a woman is pregnant. You cannot work while carrying a child” Riley explained to me but I had no choice. It was up to me to raise my pup.

The door opened and a middle aged man dressed in a dazzling white Lab Coat walked in gazing at me.

“Miss Frederick?” He asked and I nodded.

“Congratulations, your babies are in good shape.” I heard him announce.

“What? Babies?” I asked him immediately, almost jerking up from the bed in fear.

“Yes, you're pregnant with twins. And they're very healthy. I guess they carry an Alpha blood” he said nonchalantly as he moved to check the monitor.

“Your bills have been covered by the pack. You can leave anytime soon” the doctor said before leaving.

I've always had this privilege of getting free services off the hospital since Alpha Rueben put me as his beneficiary. I never thought that it still existed.

“You heard what the doctor said, Lina, you're having twins” Riley exclaimed in excitement. “Twins” she repeated.

We arrived at the pack not too long after the discharge—only to meet the ongoing mating ceremony held by alpha Rueben and his new chosen mate, Davina.

I walked past the hall, not wanting to look inside or even watch as the event went on. Riley begged me to at least watch but I refused. It hurts me to see the man I love, the man I've devoted my whole life to getting married to another.

To make it all worse, I was pregnant with his child. Did he ever even love me? Did he ever even think about me for once? I felt heartbroken and defeated that I'd given myself to this same man so many times.

Believing the words of his mouth and trusting him to claim me as his. Because of this I lost my wolf…

Riley helped me pack my luggages as I prepared to leave the black moon pack. I no longer have any reason to stay here. My father saved the former alpha but that didn't mean that I'd be crowned Luna.

I knew my time would pass, I knew all the love stories would come to an end. But I never thought that it'd end this way.

I trusted Rueben to save me from the life of slavery with the love I'd shown him.

In thirty minutes, Riley and I finished arranging my luggages. I received a text message stating that my ride was outside waiting. Even though I was a lowly Omega, it didn't stop the fact that I had saved up these past few years. My father also left some money for me as my inheritance which I kept safely…

“This would be enough for me to live for the next ten months” I muttered as I placed my last luggage into the taxi. Riley was standing near my door waiting to hug me before I left.

I stared at her, her eyes turned puppy like, she would definitely miss me and I'd miss her too. I love her so much. She and my kids gave me hope to live. I would forever be grateful to her for her help throughout my stay in the pack.

“I'm definitely going to miss you, Lina. I promise to come visiting when you give birth” Riley stated. She tightened her arms around me as she gave me a warm hug.

“I'm going to miss you too, my best friend. I promise to contact you immediately when I reach the countryside” I said.

In a minute, the taxi took off and I headed to the bus station.

I took my phone, looking at the pictures of Alpha Reuben. I'd taken him unaware several times.

I still can't believe that we'd break up and he'd betray me this way. All because of my status as an Omega. I loved him so much and I am carrying his kids. I wondered how tongs would've turned out if I'd told him about my pregnancy.

Would he take back his decisions? I never wanted to leave, but he'd banished me from the black moon pack. The same pack I grew up in. That place held a huge memory for me.

I alighted the taxi and walked into the reception where I'd buy my bus tickets. I'd forgotten to book one earlier. It took me about fifteen minutes to work it all out before I boarded the bus.

My heart started to ache again as soon as the bus started. I would surely miss this city. And Rueben.
