Alpha Jackson’s POV
While we were entertaining Florence, the windows of the pack house shook. I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I ran outside and shifted to my wolf, Lewis. My pack was in danger. We hadn’t fought in years. But I am still the Alpha of this pack. We'll defend it with our lives, if necessary.
Lewis raced to the edge of the territory where I shifted. The Royal Guard was there already. There was an unexplained fog that no one seemed to enter. I mind linked my Beta to bring Florence here. I knew the King was on his way and if the Royal Guard were there, he would have to be involved somehow. What I wasn’t expecting was to see Summer amongst them.
