The Nonchalant Scars

Manilla was always a beautiful place to be, but for a reason the traffic would say it all. This would intentionally bring in an awkward silence between me and my partner. A silence that had me recalling how far I had come from, there was still more to come. I never knew that a day would come when I got to fight for love, though this feeling was supposed to locate me. On the other hand, Tommy was a modest man and who knew how strong he was despite losing both of his legs, he would easily walk, making his entire surroundings shake!! “I want the whole of this Villa Resort renovated and bring in the best presenters for the biggest news.” He was more than prepared to meet Nesty. It didn't take more than an hour before we arrived and, judging from that red carpet, beautiful things still existed. The resort's entrance was well written “Welcome back Nesty” as this would direct him into a private place where Tommy was! This made me wonder whether I was even worthy of standing in front of this man. He was very impressed by my lady at the very first sight and could watch as she knelt down checking at his pathetic condition, “I'm so sorry, Tommy, for the plane crash. Didn't expect the world to be this harsh on you.” “Well, if there's someone who needs to be sorry, it has to be me, Nesty. I fumbled you big time and am here now to make things right. Please give me an opportunity to prove myself right again.” “MEDIA!!!” He would then clap twice, ushering in something. Only did I know that he wanted them to capture all the beautiful moments, “Marry me love, let's make us Nesty once again. I promise to make amendments and give you the life that you deserve.” The whole moment turned tense as my heart beat irregularly. I didn't even know what I was to expect from her for an answer anymore. “Let us tour the world together, travel to the best destinations and live the life of Queen Nesty. Look at you, let me clean you up and be sparkling gorgeous!!” Tommy continued and all he was waiting for now was a ‘Yes’ for an answer. “I can't do that, Tommy.” She said, “I have a responsibility now, and my role is somewhere else and my company belongs to Vincent Bakes. He is the one for me, my husband, to whom I am happily married.” To this day, I can't believe that she said these words, marking my most boastful moments in life. I could then notice him looking at me enviously and later on said, “You must be a lucky man.” At that moment, I could not take much more than now to live alone and go back home, since my place was secured according to what I believed. Nesty was still going to give him some company bearing his condition. He would take a keen look at her admiring from top to bottom before breaking down in tears, “You've really grown to be a strong man, Nesty, look at you.” The man would then quietly move his wheelchair at a distant point and say, “Maybe fate is now punishing me for what I did.” He looked so empathetic. Nesty was never comfortable with a flashback of how she was hurt, but now that her intentions were clear, help was all that she could give. “Close your eyes.” She told him. My woman is gorgeous. She wanted to take him to a place where he would forget all his sorrows,a place not full of prestige and cameras, not that luxurious, but indeed offered so much that life would. Joined by no other company, it was only going to be the two. Moments later, evening turned dark as I could notice nature ushering in the young night and no matter how young it became, I could never cease to worry since it was past ten and my wife was not yet at home. I sat on the dining table all alone watching the last vapor coming out of her special meal that I had prepared earlier on. At first, I had decided not to act paranoid since I was more than aware of her whereabouts, but the patient was no longer a part of me. Called her several times but never answered and told me to leave a message. Her wish was always my command; “...hey love, how are you doing? I am worried about you.” “Leave me alone, Bakes. I know what I'm doing!!” At this point, all I had chosen was peace, so I decided to go by her terms. A few minutes later, I heard a car and, by the look of things, it was a red Rolls-Royce parked on my compound. This was one of the Billionaire's toys, had a customized number plate beautiful and boldly written, ‘TOMMY’ She would then walk inside the house after watching the car living at a distance. I was still in the dining room when she walked in and apparently Nesty acted randomly even after noticing the two of us, me and her, were already now having a cold meal. She would then head directly to the shower and, since I had already given up on dining, my woman was going to find me at our favorite place. Later on, I came up with a night dress which perfectly portrayed her curves but could not read my mood at the time. I had almost turned into a sleeping zombie when she broke the news to me, “I kissed Tommy!!”
