Who had even known that a man of substance is a man of mystery for either good or bad, and who ever thought that this Tommy of a guy was not only a con but a killer?
Set to kill a person who apparently had the brains behind most of his success simply because he had stolen Carmalo Contez’s idea.
All this information we had gotten from the kidnapper he had used to earlier t*****e Carmalo.
And from the was the man begged,
“I have a family looking after me. "My wife would be waiting for me on Arizona street, west of the Twin Towers.”
So he begged for a second chance, and he would run away never to be seen.
Who is a person not in need of a second chance, so we let him go under one condition.
He would leave us his mobile phone so that we got to run all his errands with Tommy as earlier planned.
They say play a fool to fool a fool and the game has just started nicely!!
Now we are barely lying on this hospital bed watching him barely breathing, but the doctors said that he's going to be okay.
Five minutes later,
Carmalo takes a deep breath and asks for a cup of water. I could then watch Nicola breaking into tears with her heart beating like, “My brother is back!!”
All of us knew that Carmalo was a fighter, but who ever knew that he would fight to death himself?
“Name the name!!” He then commanded.
“Name the name brother!!??” He told me once again, waiting for me to give him a street where I believed Tommy was.
His attending doctor had just made it worse by telling us,
“Your loved one is now fit for discharge!!”
“Let's move !!” The fierce little one insisted and all I could read was that he had made up his mind.
It didn't take a second before noticing something wrong with her.
Nicola really loved her brother so much not to lose her and definitely was concerned. I mean this was a common enemy whom we wanted to take all of us, but come on and take a look.
We are not stupid as much as we are not blind.
“How are you planning on going about it?” She asked.
From the look of things, there was no plan and all he wanted was revenge and to expose the billionaire.
“That was no longer how we were going to work this out, brother.” We were brighter than this.
She had just come up with a plan, now tell me a better person than Nicola.
A half woman, half woman of substance. Such a measure of great creativity needs to be studied keenly. That's what I thought every time I noticed a darling talking.
Days passed and with time being an essence, who had ever known what a promising future would bring us?
A day full of substance when all the flush cars would flood the highway, making a standstill beautiful traffic that would be the only admirable traffic, and Manilla glowing from every part of the place and billboard all over the place.
Songs of praise could be heard from far away and the golden bell rang loudly from far away.
It is now vividly clear that today is nothing but a beautiful day, just as it is seen in the morning.
This was a beautiful one!!
All the custom-number-plated vehicles would run out of speed to the altar and out of it was a bigger van and, for the lovers of big machines, no one would ever fail to notice that big Jeep that Tommy came out of. This was custom-made bigger to accommodate his other means, the wheelchair.
What a way to kick off the wedding.
Nesty’s own entrance would be something else like most people, and not only the future husband broke into tears upon her arrival.
She was probably not a human.
“And now, if there is anyone in our midst who finds a reason as to why the wedding should not continue, please leave your beautiful self or forever hold your peace!!”
The moment had come.
“Are you sure about this???” I had to make confirmation with him and apparently, from the look of things, Carmalo was a no-nonsense man, if that would mean anything.
We had earlier sneaked into the wedding and, with nobody else noticing us, the plan was working perfectly!
Silence stood still, ushering in a tense feeling as everyone waited patiently for the next part.
A billionaire wedding was going on smoothly, and I had concluded that maybe our bold man had probably changed his mind.
“With the powers vested in me, I now pronounce Mr Tommy and Mrs Nesty as one. You may now kiss the …”
“Not that quick!! Patience is always a virtue.”
A loud sound was heard from the midst of the crowd and, from the appearance of things, this had brought a navigating attention.
I lived my life seeing many things but have never seen a man in my life so shocked as Tommy.
“What do you want Carmalo?” He was already tired, especially after comfortably concluding that the man was already dead. Now it turns out like he had about six lives, the other five which he was going to take very good care of.
“You did this to me,” he sadly said as he barely tried to stand up, making every part of his knee joint.
“When I refused to help you, Tommy, you tortured me like a rat, and now I am not able to walk like I used to.
I don't know what people see in you, but today the truth has to prevail. This man that you see here today, Carmalo, was now broken, already in tears.
“He is a killer!!”
This statement was already turning the place into a commotion hall until everyone was silenced by a loud gunshot.
“Mr Tommy, you have a right to remain silent until given to in the hands of the court.”
The wedding had turned into what I wanted it to be. The law enforcers would then take him into one of their tinted cars and lock him.
Now, like every story that has its punchline, Manilla was a place in a country like any other,a fast-moving one where sometimes the law was even bought for the sake of freedom.
The arrogant billionaire had just proposed an offer,
“Release me and arrest Carmalo instead, and I will make sure that your family will never lack up to your fourth generation.”
Upon noticing the officers' unresponsiveness, Tommy took the container which he had earlier noticed.
“This is your ailing daughter right, in need of surgery. Please don't do this to her. To me, five million dollars is a drop in the ocean. "Don't you want to see her again!?”
An officer’s van has never been this quiet before.
Apparently the one arrested was even louder than the siren. I had underestimated the power of money until this very manipulative moment.
