Silver Rose I blew my whistle and that signaled the men to attack, I took one last look at Osilus and ran out. I fought the men before the captain came aboard. I gasped and saw it was Long John Silver. I shot off my pistol and that caught his attention. "Well I'll be a drunken sailor if it isn't Madame Captain Silver Rose." He said glaring at me. "Hello Long John, I see your still sailing that heap of junk you call a ship." I said, knowing it would anger him. "I heard you put Black Beard in the gallows to hang on the morrow." Long John said. "Aye and he was so easy to take down like you will be, ready boys?!" I said, moving my arm up. "You wouldn't dare!" Long John said. "I dare, fire!" I yelled, watching my cannons obliterate Long John's ship.  I felt a blistering pain in my stomach and put my hand there to see I was bleeding. I tied a sash around my stomach tightly to help stop the bleeding and took one shot at Long John to see him fall to the floor, normally I won't kill unless you strike first so this was rare. I saw my men take down Long John's men. I cheered with my men, after a couple of minutes I doubled over and held my side. Dominic and Osilus came to my aid. "Captain what's w-" Dominic cut off when he raised his hand and saw blood. "Oh no, John must've got her!" Osilus said, helping carry me into his cabin on his bed. Dominic untied the sash and lifted my blood stained shirt up to see my huge gash on my stomach. Osilus immediately grabbed medicine and poured alcohol onto a rag, Dominic grabbed the rag and Osilus held my hand. "It's okay, this might hurt a lot captain." Dominic said, applying the rag and watching me grimace.  "Silver," it was Osilus, "stay with me okay, I will always be here. Forever and for always." Osilus said, kissing my lips lightly before I blacked out. I awoke again, three days later, with a fully heald long scar across my stomach. I got up and moved around, noting that fresh clothing was on the bed. I got into the not b****y outfit and headed on deck.  my crew looked at me and smiled knowing I would be alright. I stood at the bow and breathed in the fresh sea air, grateful I could smell it again. I turned around to see my crew parting to make way for someone and I thought it was Dominic, but it was Osilus. He pulled me into a tight hug and ran his hand through my hair. "I thought I lost you again." He said into my hair. "Again, I almost died this one time." I said. "The first time I shouldn't have let you go." He said and that almost made me cry. "Oh, but what are you still doing here? What about the Concordia?" I asked, removing myself from his hug. "The first mate is steering her back to the Americas and I want to join your ship because I don't want to lose you." He said, brushing my hair out of my eyes. "If you join you might not see your home again, depending on where we travel, am I understood?" I asked, scrunching my eyebrows. "Yes I understand, but as long as I am right by your side then I will be okay." He said, caressing my face. "Mates have a new member let us intro him into our posse." I said, watching my crew get instruments out. "If you want to join my crew there are a few things you must do." I sang. "You must take what has been taken, join in the song, take down pirates with a sword you must trust and above all," I sang and then the crew joined in. "You must prove your worth to be a member of the Mystic Rose." We sang, ending the short tune. "First a test to determine your worth, then a choice of sword that will be yours to engrave and lastly your uniform." Dominic said, counting the reasons on his fingers. "Alright, what is the test of worth?" Osilus asked. "Alright you see my watchman up in the crows nest?" I asked, pointing. "Aye." Osilus said, nodding "He got himself stuck up there and he can't get down, would you mind making a new ladder for him to get down?" I asked, gesturing to materials for a ladder. "What is my time for this?" Osilus asked. "No more than a day, because he has gone many moons with out food or water." I said, watching him work all night and finishing the ladder early the next morning. "You work fast, nicely done, now try to get him down." I said, watching Osilus go up to the mast and climbing up it. "Alright here is your new ladder to get down mate, take it nice and slow if ya need to." I heard Osilus say to Gerald, my lookout. When Gerald came down, he ate like a pig and slept like a log. We all cheered at Osilus for being so determined, he put a thumbs up and raced back up the stairs for his next deal, the sword. "Bring out the swords," a sailor grabbed the case of swords we kept, " a sword is what defines a man or a woman when he or she carries it, so choose wisely." I said, drawing my own sword to show the engraving. Osilus drew each sword out, before deciding on a sword with a normal handle and a beautiful case. The sword itself was silver, like everyone else's, but it had no engraving. I took his sword in my hand and examined it, I handed it back and with it an engraver. "Now you must engrave your sword, be it what you like. Oh, by the way I added a new engraving to the back of my sword." I said, turning my sword to show my newest engraving. "'Forever and for always', wait that's what I said to you before you blacked out." He said, his eyes widening. "I liked it so I put it on my sword to remind me of you." I said, watching him engrave his. "I'm done,  what do you think?" He asked, turning it to the side. "Peace, freedom and hope can set many free." I quoted his saying on his sword. "Uh huh now check the back." He said, flipping his sword. "It's a ship." I said, tracing the ship engraving. "Look at the words under it." He said, following my gaze. "The very definition of freedom is The Mystic Rose and her captain, Silver Rose." I quoted and nearly cried. "I thought it would be nice to have you represented." He said, wiping a stray tear. "Thanks, now your final is you uniform." I said, snapping my fingers and clothes were brought to me. "Uniform?" He asked. "If ye be on my ship ya got to look the part." I said, pushing him into my cabin to change. "It fits perfectly!" He said and when he stepped out I wanted to rip off his shirt. "Welcome First mate Osilus, newest member, to the Mystic Rose." I said and the crew cheered after I put a purple sash on his arm. "What do I do now, Madame Captain?" Osilus asked. "Help out whoever might need it." I said, watching him help sailors tie ropes. I peered through my spy glass and immediately recognized where we were, we were almost fifteen yards away from Tortuga. I retracted my spy glass and helped let down some sails so we could dock in Tortuga, I coasted lightly into the docks. "Weigh anchor!" I hollered. "Aye captain." Dominic said, rallying sailors to put the anchor down. We all got off and headed to a man who owed me some very valuable information about a certain man I was trying to pass information onto. We passed by a wanted poster that had my name on it and a ten thousand doubloon bounty for my head. Osilus smirked at me and held my hand only slightly, I smirked back and gripped his hand. "Why in the name of the seven seas do you have a bounty?" Osilus asked. "It wasn't the Queen, I assure you, but its the pirate lords that put the price on my head." I explained. "Wait I thought the pirate lords were a myth." Osilus said, raising an eyebrow. "They are not a myth, that is only what people were told so no one could be afraid, the pirate lords are very real." I said. "They put a price on you head why?" Osilus asked, still confused. "Duh," I pointed to myself, "good pirate, arresting bad pirates." I said. "Duh Osilus." He said, smacking his forehead. "Hey don't beat yourself up, we're here." I said, looking at a tilting wrecked ship. "Is that even remotely safe? Guess not, but you love danger." Osilus said, seeing me nod. "True but I love someone else far more." I said, dragging half my crew with me. "Oh, why are you only taking half?" Osilus said, pointing to the rest of my crew. "One half is lookout and the other is just backup." I said. "Okay and who are you seeing?" Osilus asked. "We are seeing Laveen,  he owes me some information." I said. "About?" Osilus said. "Azura." I said. "Who's Azura?" Osilus asked. "Captain Jin's sister." I said. "Oh, okay." He said, seeing me approach th door and knock three times. "Yes, who is it?!" Laveen's voice said, irritated. "It's Silver Rose, you twit." I said. "prove it." He said. "The tide may be high but the time is not yet nigh, I sail the moonlit waters and sail towards adventure in the seas." I said. "Silver Rose, come right in you vixen of the seven seas." He said, opening the door. "Thanks you slimy cur." I said. "So you have half of your crew with you, did the other half drown?" He chortled. "Ney, they are outside." I said, pointing to the docks. "Ah, so are ye here for information?" Laveen said. "Aye, is he still here?" I asked. "Jin? Aye he's here, in the third level and in that tilted upward ship." He said, pointing out the windows. "Alright, thanks you squid bellied sea urchin." I said, heading out the door. "Your welcome, you she devil." He waved. We headed to the ship Laveen mentioned and prepared to meet Captain Jin, an English pirate that I will still send to the gallows after I find his sister and return her home. I knocked on the door twice and entered. "Who is it?!" Jin said. "Who else you scurvy dog?!" I said, seeing him turn around. "Silver, you finally came around!" He said. "I have news on Azura." I said, seeing him freeze in his tracks. "You found her?!" He said. "Aye, she is some where near the Phillipines." I said, going to the map and circling a small island. "Take me." He said. "Alright, then I'll have to take your a*s to jail." I said. "Still? I have done nothing wrong, except for robbing the queen." He said. I saw Osilus root around and was so proud, Osilus picked up many things with my crew and pocketed only what they could fit. They took what they could down to the other half of my crew and then carried the rest to the ship for return, Osilus' eyes widened at a letter and I saw him pocket it. I assumed it was a map or something that probably didn't belong to Jin so I paid no attention and just boarded my ship. We sailed for two and a half days until we reached the island where Azura was for the past fifteen years, I walked ashore with Jin and called to Azura. "Azura, its me Silver Rose." I said, seeing a woman about my age come out of a cave. Azura dropped her firewood she was carrying and ran to me, Azura hugged me and turned to see her brother. Azura slapped him hard across the face and I tried not to laugh. "You basted slimy scum bag, you come back fifteen years later and just now pick me off this island?!" Azura hollered. "I did not know, sister, I searched everywhere for you since you vanished." Jin said. "Really? But, that is no excuse for your crimes!" She said, inching closer to my ship. "I know its no excuse, but listen to me Silver Rose is going to have me imprisoned." He said. "For how long?!" Azura said turning to me. "I can try to work out not getting him hanged, but imprisonment for life is the next best thing they will accept."I said worriedly "That will do, as long as he admits his crimes then I will be alright." She said, climbing aboard my ship.  "Okay, Jin you must accept this." I said. "Oh her majesty wants to know where you might be." He said. "Around the Caribbean, why?" I said, narrowing my eyes. "She just wanted to know so that she may greet you herself and award you a medal I think." He said, glancing to one side.  "Alright, thank you Jin." I said, leading him on deck tied up with his crew. We raided Jin's ship and then sunk it. We sailed along and made it back to shore and I was able to nix Jin's hanging, so I got him a lifetime in prison. Azura was happy that her brother admitted to his crimes and I sent her home, so she could get back to a normal society. I stopped in the Caribbean and waited for about a couple of days before I saw a ship, I assumed it was the queen but it wasn't.  It was Captain Morrison, he was out to get me since I nearly sunk his ship, he was one of the few pirates who have ever escaped me.  my ship was raided, but we returned everything so there was nothing but tea on board, and everyone of my crew members was tied up. my sword and pistol were taken away and I was held down by two men, Morrison lifted my head up and laughed. "It's about time I caught up to you  Silver Rose." He said. I spat in his face and that earned my a smack across my face, I smirked and spat out a bit of blood. "What do you want Morrison?" I said. "You Silver and also to thank your friend." He said, snapping his fingers and I saw two men drag Osilus to me. "Osilus are you alright?!" I said, being restrained when I tried to comfort him. "Oh he is much better now that he has his prize, ten thousand doubloons my boy." Morrison said, tossing Osilus a bag. "Osilus, you sold me out!?" I screeched. "No Rose, I didn't please listen to me!" He said. "I thought... I thought you were different, but I was wrong. You are just a stupid, corrupting, lying pirate!" I yelled, the words burning my heart. "No Rose, please." He pleaded, but was dragged to a cell on my ship. He was across from my crew and I, my crew glared at Osilus and came to me to try and calm me down. I was sobbing and my crew has not once seen me cry, until today. Dominic went over to Osilus, probably to smack him for me, and talked to him. I assumed Dominic was chewing Osilus out so I let them talk, for tomorrow I would face death.
