FIRED AT THE SPOT

CHAPTER FIVE:
JUNE'S POV
Mr. Cole stared at Ella and me with anger as he stood in front of the man and the young woman. "I am the manager of this hotel sir, I heard about what happened and that's why I'm here," Mr Cole said softly
"That woman served us this morning and stole from us, I want her fired," The young woman said again but Mr Cole didn't know whether it was Ella or me that stole from them.
He didn't turn to us yet but wanted to try his best to settle the issue so the hotel's reputation wouldn't be tarnished because of this incident.
"Amanda, keep quiet" The man finally stopped the young woman from talking. Oddly, she obeyed and just kept her arms around her chest with a frown on her face.
"One of your workers stole from me when I was in the shower, my fiancee here saw her when she did it," The man said
Two things shocked me, number one was the fact that the young woman wasn't a w***e just like I had thought, she was his fiancee and might even be around my age or older, she just had the face of a child. Two was the fact that she was claiming that she saw me when I stole from him.
I didn't steal anything and she wasn't even awake.
Mr. Cole turned to Ella and me before he asked, "Which one of you visited Mr Ambrose's room this morning?"
I swallowed and was about to speak when Ella beat me to it, "I prepared Mr. Ambrose's tray of food sir" I stared at her and she gave me a smile trying to tell me that it would be fine.
"The other girl stole from us" The young woman spoke up again and Mr Cole frowned. "Did you visit me in Ambrose's room this morning June?" He asked me
"Mr Cole, I was the one who..." Ella started to say and Mr. Cole shot up his hand to stop her from talking. "Not another word Ella or you are fired" He wasn't bluffing, he meant every word.
Ella pouted her lips and kept quiet. "Did you visit Mr Ambrose's room this morning June?" He asked me again, the whole room was silent as everyone had now gathered around us, trying to see the end of the issue.
"Yes sir" There was no need for me to tell a lie, all I knew was that I didn't steal from them.
"You are fired June, you have just five minutes to get the hell out of the hotel" That was it! Mr Cole didn't say anything else to me or give me the chance to explain myself.
I stood there frozen on the ground as I stared at the young woman who accused me of stealing when I didn't steal anything. "I am very sorry Mr Ambrose, she will be punished according to the hotel rules," Mr cole told him
"And are we going to get what she took from us?" This woman had an issue with me honestly.
"Amanda, that's enough," Mr Ambrose said and then turned to look at me while speaking to Mr Cole. "She doesn't have to return what she stole, she has paid for her crimes," He said
I didn't even steal anything!
"Let's go, Amanda," Mr. Ambrose said, the woman quickly took his hands and then the two of them left the hotel with their two guards following behind.
Did someone steal something from them or were they intentionally doing this to me just because their coffee order got mixed up this morning? But I made sure to deliver the right coffee after so why did this happen?
Everyone began to go back to their work leaving Ella, Mr Cole and I at the reception. "I swear to God sir, I didn't steal anything" I suddenly found my voice back
I must have been intimidated by the man earlier to not be able to talk. "Follow me June" That was all Mr. Cole said as he left the reception for his office.
Tears began to roll down my cheeks as I looked at Ella before following Mr. Cole, after there was nothing more to do, I had already lost my job.
When we got into his office, he immediately punched his desk in anger, "You stole from an executive customer in my hotel?" He wasn't just angry, he was raging mad.
I decided to keep my distance in fear that I might get stoned with anything on his table or receive another slap.
"No sir" I muttered
"I asked Ella to leave that simple job to you because I thought you could do it better but yet you fumbled. You saw a rich man and then decided to use that chance to steal from him?"
"No sir"
"Did you think that you wouldn't get caught?" He kept going, ignoring my words
"If you don't believe me, sir, we can go up to the security room and check the CCTV footage sir and you will see that I didn't touch anything in that room sir," I said immediately
"I don't want to hear another word, are you saying the client lied just to get you fired?" He chuckled
"I think so sir, there was a slight error with his order this morning and he was angry, he could have wanted to get revenge on me" I couldn't think of any other reason why he would want to do this.
"I took you in when you were nothing but a poor peasant, I forgave all of your wrongdoings and let you work here for this long and this is how you repay me?" He yelled at me
"I didn't steal sir, I swear"
"Your paycheck will be sent to you before this week ends, I suggest you begin to find another job"
"Mr Cole, you can't fire me, I don't have anywhere to go. I swear I didn't steal from them" I began to cry as I explained
"Get out of my office before I call security on you" Seeing as he wasn't ready to listen to me, I left the office in tears, I will not forget the name 'Ambrose'
or his intimidating build, I will make sure karma gets to him.
