"Let me go!" I screamed. "Why? So that you will run away from me again? I'm tired of you running, am I that much of a slob? I have done everything to get you to open up but, all you do is run away. Am I that irritating?" Xavier asks vulnerably.
"Let me go Xavier. Leave me alone. I don't have time for your bullshit" I reply.
"Oh really? Well, you better make time for my bullshit because, you're going to be getting a lot of it. I have tried Almira… I've tried to get your attention. I've tried to get you to talk to me but, all you do is run away and hide. What are you? A coward?" he asked.
"Yes! Yes! And Yes! I. Am. A. Coward. Are you happy now?! You finally know what I am. Now, can you let me go?" I finished tiredly. Xavier sighed. "You. Are. Not. A. Coward Almira. All I want is a little pleasantness from you...is that too much to ask?" He said sounding as if he was pleading maybe begging.
"Yes Xavier, it is too much to ask...just stay away from me." I tried pulling him away from me but, he held me tighter, which would’ve seemed painful to anyone watching, but wasn’t painful at all.
"I don't care what you say anymore. You don't want to talk? Fine, remain mute since that's what you are very good at but, you are going to be hearing from me. Since the first day you came to this school, I have been chasing you maybe, because I wanted to get to know you. I have never been curious about someone until I met you, but all you keep doing is running as if I'm going to bite you. You know what? I think you actually have feelings for me which is why you always run away from me as if I'm going to poison you. You have feelings for me, and you are afraid to acknowledge it which is why you keep on running."
I looked into his eyes and gasped. "You don't know what you're talking about. I think, you're delusional." Xavier closed his eyes and opened them then said, “Don’t f**k with me Mira… We kissed twice and you're avoiding me like I have the goddamn corona virus. I'm tired of your bullshit maybe, it is time." He finished looking somewhat relieved?
"Time for-?" I couldn't finish my sentence because, Xavier smashed his lips on mine. This kiss was nothing like our first and second it was like he was holding onto something. As if he was saying 'I'm his and he's mine.' The kiss wasn't like the others and shivered under his touch. The Kiss felt like he was marking me. I was so into the kiss that I nearly whined and stomped my feet when it ended. He tugged at my bottom lip and smiled, “Stop running away from the truth and me Mira."
Then, he walked away and left me wondering 'What the hell just happened?'
