Alpha's Unknown Prince

Chapter 8

Emma- 

    Come to the office now. There has been a situation. My father informed me through the mindlink. Before I could ask what  was going on the link was close. I simply raised my hand and asked to leave. The teacher being a member of the pack excused me. As I round the corner going towards the office I hear a commotion. My already brisk pace becomes even faster. 

    Finally reaching the office I see what is going on. A rouge was standing in the middle of the room with his hands over his downed head. "I didn't come to hurt anyone. I just want to see Max." he says to the floor. I step forward, "What do you want with Max?" I question. 

    He finally looks up. When he does everybody in the room lets out a low growl. "Max is my friend. We went to the same school in Texas last year. When he told me he moved to Grove Hill High I knew I had to come and speak with him and all of you." he says calmly. "Jake?" I hear behind me. I turn, but I already knew who it was from his voice. Max was standing there shocked. "What are you doing here? You are supposed to be in Texas."

    "I came to tell you a story." Jake says mysteriously. "But first I need to talk with the Alpha of the Hunters Moon Pack." I glance up at Charlie, who had come with Max. We need to talk. I mindlink her. She nods and turns toward my dad's office. "I need to talk with Charlie. I'll be back in a minute." I say to my dad. His eyes never leave Jake as he nods. 

    "There IS something about Max." Charlie says as soon as I close the door. "I don't know what it is, but it is powerful." I think about it for a minute then say," We need to talk to Max's aunt. She has to know something. I'll go tell my dad." Once we leave the office we look around, but don't see Jake. "They took him to some house. They wouldn't let me come. Your dad is still here Emma." Max says sitting in the chair beside the door to the office. "Charlie why don't you go tell my dad what we decided." I say looking at max about to sit down with him. "Okay Emma." 

    As Charlie leaves to find my dad I sit with Max. "I'm sorry if all this has scared you." I say cautiously. " He said he came to tell me a story. Do you know what he is talking about?" Max asks looking me in the eye. "No, but I'll find out." Ask my dad if we can take Max with s to talk to Jake. I tell Charlie. He says yes as long as you trust him enough to show him the pack house. She responds quickly. "Let's go." I say standing up. "Where are we going?" Max stands uncertain. "I'm taking you home with me"
