Cam’s Point of View:

Everyone was shocked to what Nicolai have said. We just recovered from our initial reactions, especially me who did not expect that he is going to say those words. It was out of the blue moon.

What is this?

What the heck Nicolai is saying?

Don't he fvcking play things like this in front of my family. He is not funny at all.

Meanwhile, my grandparents were smiling. Hymitch, Alliah and Viper are now wearing their mischievous smile. Hytham and Thelonious also can't hide their smiles. While Macy and the team were still confused. What they know is the thing between Nicolai and Margaux. Whoever heard what Nicolai said would probably have the same reaction with them.

I fake a cough to kill the silence on the dining. It makes me feel awkward.

"You are not a good joker Nic." I said and fake a laugh. I am already used to call him Nic. I think everyone were calling him Kade already so I created my own nickname for him and that is Nic, a short term for his second name, Nicolai.

"Who says I am joking around, Arabella?" He asked in a serious manner that made me shut my mouth. I looked at him in his eyes and looked away immediately when he is intently looking at me. I cannot fight him this time.

Whatever in his mind now, I cannot just trust it whether he is one of my friends. He is the one who said that Margaux and him probably would be the end game and now, he will throw those kinds of wordings?

Yes, I do like him, I do have a feelings for him. I would not deny it and I am very much vocal, but I won't fall for any traps he have. I am not that stupid and I would not stoop down just to get him.

My grandfather catches the attention of everyone by simply making a sound using his spoon and the wine glass. He hit the glass twice that is enough to produce a sound.

"Are serious with what you have said hijo?" My grandfather asked to Nicolai. I know where his question is leading to and I don’t want to hear it.

“I might sound unbelievable Sir, but yes, I am serious with the words I have said awhile ago.” He said while fighting my grandfather’s stare.

I looked at our friends and my eyes were asking about what Nicolai is saying but they just shrugged their shoulders like saying, they do not have an idea about it.

“Mind if I ask what makes you want to court my granddaughter?” My grandfather followed up. Gosh, I cannot take it. They are seriously doing this in front of many people? I cannot believe this.

“As much as I want to tell you the reason Sir, I think it is appropriate if I will tell it to Arabella first. I know she is confuse because it happened all of the sudden.” He said and looked at me. Point taken! That is what I am trying to emphasize. As much as I want to compare our feelings, I can’t because he is in different situation. Likimg him is ‘suddenly’ as well, it only took a week but in his case, I think he was committeed.

“Ow. I understand. That is much better but I am telling you this. Don’t you ever hurt my granddaughter. I can turn this island up side down when we speak about my family.” He said seriously.

“Is that a blessing already Lo?” My brother asked and chuckled. Our grandfather smile at him and nodded. Our grandmother composed her message as well.

“She is our Princess hijo and we are very protective of her.” Our grandmother said that made my little sister reacts.

“Grand Lola, I am the Princess of Montidalgo because I am Princess Light Montidalgo!” My little sister exclaimed while eating a shrimp that made us heaved a small laughs. She is very possessive in the term “Princess” and claiming it as its her possession because it is her name.

Shrimp is her favorite seafood. She can eat shrimp like almost everyday from breakfast, lunch, up to dinner.

“L, no one’s claiming your name. It is all yours. But the term grandpa used as for the “Princess” calling our big sister is that, he used it as a metaphor on the significance of our sister in the family.” Dark explained to her twin sister. Light said “okay fine” and continue what she is doing, eating.

“I know it is not your responsibility but please take care of Camelle, hijo. She is a gem. Like what my husband said, hurting her or one of our grandchildren is like hurting us as well.” My grandma added. Nicolai promised to them that he is going to look after me and protect me at all cost from any danger.

Grandpa asked my parents if they have something to say. Mom said that everything has been said by grandma and grandpa but they wish that Nicolai could give me a genuine happiness.

The dinner ended well. I think we finished our dinner for almost two hours because after that shocking happenings, Macy becomes our source of laughter. Everyone joined the conversation and enjoyed. Macy could pass as a clown but a clown that is a product of innovation and creativity.

After the dinner, we went to the third floor and I accompanied them, Hymitch, Alliah, Viper, Thelonious and Nicolai. Just like the other classmates of ours, I alloted two available guest rooms for them. One for boys and one for girls as well. I first accompanied the girls. They said they are going to change first. We planned to watch new movies in the theater room. It is quiet huge and I think it can occupy a hundred seats. Next I did is I accompanied them to have their separate rooms. We agreed to make a plan.

I was about to go out of the guest room and leave them there when Nicolai called me.

“Can we talk?”
