Mika walked over to Julian and asked what the face was about. He replied, "Made a lot of headway on your new case today while you were napping. Seems those reports the Cheif was telling you about were not as serious as it first seemed." Mika knew this was going to happen. If she wasn't told to go home and rest, she would have stayed and inquired with dip s**t. "I bet you did lots of calling to figure that out? Who's your source?" Mika asked. Julian told her that he had a friend from a tribe in that area, and his friend hadn't heard or seen anything regarding rebelling tribes.
Of course, he was going to stone wall her with the old friend of mine excuse. Easy brush off, and nothing is wrong. Everything is just peachy, the end. Well, not this time, Mr. the girls' ideas are not important enough to make Julian the Great actually do his job. Mika wasn't taking that on this case, her case. Julian could be a part of it or not, but she would not let him take this from her. Not when the consequences would be so dangerous. Once again, she was fighting an unknown enemy and a known one at the same time.
With all the composure she had in her she told Julian that his friends accounts on what was going on over there weren't enough and that she was going to have to speak to his friend and all the enforcement of tribes in the area. This was to important to brush off with a single phone call. Julian like he always did said "Fine go waste your time but not me I'll focus on other cases. let me know when your case actually matters."
