Chapter 20

307 Words
Julian and I met on the edge of their territory. Coincidentally enough as soon as my train reached the last stop in the tribes territory my tail got off the train and stopped following me. Thank God I met Julian at the stop after that. I got off the train and he was right there waiting impatiently like I had any control of the trains speed. But as of everything with him I could never do enough to make him happy. It was like I was his annoying younger sister he had to put up with. I found that my behavior matched his so it made for a very unstable relationship. Add on this most recent investigation, intentionally reported behind his back. I could only imagine I was at the top of Julian's list of favorite people. All feelings aside thos was our people's safety and very way of life being challenged by a tribe of our own people. It was a disease festering and threatening our very existence. If we were to get as bad as the world in my dreams, we would have to put pettiness aside and get to the bottom of this. "Well Mika what have you gotten yourself into this time and how am I going to get you out." he stated "Well Julian your in for a ear full because like I told the boss this is a threat that shackes our people to the core. The natural laws I already witnessed being broken is enough to split up the tribe. Let alone whatever else is going on there." I replied We sat down at a quiet booth and had a very long and serious conversation. I was both excited and afraid of what was about to happen. Forsure though it would be the hardest challenge our world has even seen.
