Chapter 5

It was time for Mika to put her plan into action. She knew what she had to do. She just needed a way to figure out the danger, prove said danger, and get her boss on board.

Her first obstacle was her partner as she worked with a real dickhead, Julian who was the most stubborn, close-minded, pig brained, and handsome man she'd ever met.

Since his start on enforcement, which wasn't long after her, he had been the vain of her existence. He never listened to anything she said, and worse, he was the favorite person for all the older enforcement team to go to for Intel and suggestions. He was the kind that thought women didn't have anything to contribute to enforcement. He thought they were weak and clueless, emotionally driven, baby makers, and that's all they were good for.

In the Unclaimable World, everyone was equal, but there were always those ones that had clashing ideas of the natual laws, Julian was one of them. So when it came to him working with Mika, he treated her as such. He never really worked with her but rather like he was just putting up with her.

Mika sharing her theory about her nightmares was going to be a battle. She decided to wait for Julian to be off shift so she could tell her boss, hoping he'd see the danger and they could figure out how to avert what the people in her dreams were going through.
