Chapter 6

238 Words
Mika got her chance to tell her boss the following week. It was late seeing how Julian preferred the early morning shifts. She walked into his office with the whole story ready to tell. She explained when the dreams had started, what the people were doing, and most importantly, the feeling of warning and danger they had. She couldn't express her concern more. When she finished her boss looked at her with a very pale and frightened look on his face. He asked her again why they were fighting. He did this because he had been getting reports on tribes in the interior, refusing to migrate to their other territories. They threatened to stay where they were and didn't want to move anymore. The tribes felt that their territory was theirs and were refusing to follow natual law. These tribes are very powerful, too. They have many strong men and women who are willing to go to whatever measures they have to, to stay where they are and live their lives, not how it has always been but a new way. Her boss said the similarities between her dreams and these tribes are too close to ignore. They stayed at work all night conversing about this threat and ways it could get worse if they let it. Luckily, a lot of the important details were brought out and put into the case before Julian arrived at 6 a.m.
