Chris’s POV
I parked my car in front of Melanie’s dad’s studio. Keeping both of my hands on the steering wheel, I was staring at the name board. I was still not sure if this is the right thing to do. What if I get into more trouble with this? But do I have other options?
That day what happened at the mall tempted me to take this decision. I have to raise money as soon as possible to pay for my training. But I was having second thoughts about whether to accept Melanie’s offer or not. Then Emma’s dad one day called me and asked me to meet him at his office.
He criticized me for staying at Pete’s place.
“I thought you are willing to stand on your own feet. But it seems like you still need other people’s support. How can I trust you with my daughter’s life?” that was his argument.
