Tale of Stolen Hearts

I never knew meeting him could mean destruction. The forts, the royals, everything was swiveled into ashes before me. I couldn't do much but get away. Get away from his fire. I didn't need to escape, knowing his fire did not implicate me, still I couldn't save anyone. My reign, our country, was devastated. Destroyed. And it only took his one flame to blow up the entire Royals.  My people, my family, all are dead. Just because of him.  I couldn't save them. None of them. Right now, I don't know where to go, but I know if in the future, I meet him again, it would only mean one thing, and that's Destruction. This was never meant to happen. A Drachellhound and a Human, no. Mates? No. A Dracula and a Hellhound? No.  I needed answers. How is this possible? I am not even a wolf or vampire, how can I be his mate? He says I belong to only him. How can he just put a label on me like that? It doesn't make sense. None of it makes sense. Question marks after question marks. And I knew only he could answer them all. And I decided to go back, face this stupid Drachellhound. But, it's midnight where'd I go? Then it hit me. He's near, I can't face him. I can't…  And I started running. But he was too fast to escape from. I couldn't but seeing his glowing red eyes just brought it all back and tears flooded in my eyes. "Doll? Please don't cry…" he said in a broken voice. His voice would make me go weak in the knees but today, I just want to run away. I faced my back towards him. I can't face him.  "Why are you here?!" I cried out at him and he came closer to solace me. "Stay as far as you can!!" I couldn't help but I didn't want to feel him. I didn't…  "Helena… I didn't mean to-" even if he had destroyed everything, I still felt this urge to be in his embrace. WHY! WHY?!  "Oh please shut up! SHUT UP FOR GOD'S SAKE OKAYY?!" I am so angry at him. "Mate?" "Shut up!! I am not your mate!" He looked down in great disappointment. But those red eyes are the reason for this destruction. Why couldn't I just have a normal life?! Being the Queen of Orlando, being in love with the most dangerous creature, my people wanted to kill me. "Who are YOU?" I asked him, I was full of rage. "I am your mate, love," Isaac spoke looking down on the ground. Now, I am frustrated. Frustrated from all the beating around the bushes. When I met him for the first time, I felt attracted to him. Like a magnetic force would just pull me towards him… but today, I just wanted to stay as far away as I could. He just burned down my entire life, my entire home… And despite my people wanting to kill me, I still cared for them and him just… Killed all of them. He was still burning, but I couldn't care less. I was going to marry Alexander, the King of Aspad, but he had to just… Kill them all?  "Why would you do that…? Why did you have to be such a dangerous creature?!" I said to him crying. "I-I, I don't know love… I couldn't have the thought of my mate marrying and kissing another man and having a family with him. How could I know my mate's alive…" Isaac said in a breaking deep voice that made me think he was going to cry… "Couldn't you just RESPECT MY BOUNDARIES?! If I am your mate… weren't you supposed to just see me happy? Why would you have to just… turn it all into ashes? Why Isaac, why?!" "I had no… idea I would lose control like that…" Said, Isaac. I wish so badly Isaac would have been a normal human, and I would have married him… "You know very well right that even I wished I could be a human? I do have a human form Helena but… what do you expect me to do?!" "I expect you to give respect to my boundaries…" I raised my tone and spoke to him. "Helena…" he started to cry. And I had never seen him this broken, this weak. He fell on his knees, looking down, in great disappointment, crying. The almighty creature isn't supposed to break down like this. And my heart ached. Ached to comfort him, but I couldn't. It's like my situation says otherwise, but my heart speaks otherwise. What am I supposed to do? I hate and love him at the same time… What am I supposed to do?! "You're supposed to be mine, Helena…" Isaac said to me. "Tell me how am I supposed to be yours when you just destroyed everything I had? How am I supposed to be your Isaac? When all you told me from the beginning were lies? Lies over lies. I never knew about these vampires and werewolves and above that you being a Drachellhound. Huh… Tell me how am I supposed to be yours?"  I never knew these reigns even existed and all of a sudden I'm the only person that could balance your fire and without telling me who you were… you want me to be yours… You're delusional Isaac. You're being delusional. And instead of talking things through, you just lose your control and decide to set everything on fire. How am I supposed to be yours? I knew Isaac could listen to all my impressions but he stayed silent. Without a word, we stayed there in silence. Silence speaking more than a thousand words… I haven't seen him for over a year and now, on the day of my wedding, he destroyed it all. It's funny how two people love each other but can't love. How they are destined to be together but them being together only means devastation. And if this was devastation, then it was only the beginning.  It's the Tale of two Stolen Hearts, and when they knew they could only complete each other, they stole each other's heart and never returned it.
