The main reason Bruno and Sofia felt grudge and hatred for the ongoing Inquisition massacres and all the church leaders, including the Pope, who were responsible for them, was not simply dogmatic religious pressures and the daily brutal attitudes of the church over 500 years of forced repression on the people.
