I Shouldn’t Have Trusted Her

**Chad** I suddenly jumped out of my bed after my phone made a loud sound. I checked it out, and it was a notification message from Ivy. The charming girl I came across while scuffing through the campus groups. “Hi dear, how are you doing,” she wrote. I messaged Ivy last in the morning and her pride couldn't let her reply to me till now. “I'm good, I dropped you a message yesterday and waited so long to get a reply from you, but I didn’t.” I replied to her. “To be sincere with you, you are very beautiful and charming. I couldn’t take my eyes off your pictures”. I sent another reply. Ivy is a very tall, slim, curvy and beautiful girl all the guys on the campus have been dying to have. I only see her once in a blue moon in school. She doesn't normally come to school. The few times I get to see her, I don't even get the chance to have a word with her. Guys around her would have their eyes on her, walking majestically, catwalking, walking like the cement floor is made of breakable glass. And can break up if not handled with care. “Of course, I know I'm beautiful and charming,” her message entered. Ivy is always full of herself, she knows many guys are dying to get her and that makes her triple pride. “My name is Chad, I don't know if we can be friends, chat and maybe go out on a date to see how things will go." I replied to her with courage and confidence. Ivy is kind of feared by many guys on the campus, they don't have the courage to walk up to her and have words with her. I myself can't even stand talking to her in person. “Sure, we can be friends.” I believe you already knew my name”. She replied. “Hmm.. wow.. This girl is kind of nice but too full of herself. Why would she even utter those last sentences even if she knew? I muttered to myself. She already knew that most people on the campus knew her name because she thought she was popular. “Yes, I already knew your name”… “Ivy” “The most popular beautiful girl on campus." I began trying to impress my crush with sweet words and everything I could to know if I could get her to myself. “Can you tell me more about yourself, Ivy?" “Where you are from, your hobbies, favorite foods and all." I sent it to her with a mixture of smiles and tension… My heart was beating because I was scared of receiving possible insults or something. I'm not yet comfortable with her because I haven't really known her. After 48 hours, she finally agreed to go out on a date with me. I was so nervous, I didn't know whether I was happy or scared, I was just overthinking.. “What if she is trying to set me up?” I muttered to myself.. Different thoughts were coming to my head but shoved them off. I freshened up and had my well ironed clothes on with my luxurious wristwatch. I put on my newly bought shoes which I purposely keep wearing on this day. I put on my luxurious perfume to smell super nice. “You look damn hot.” I told myself by looking in my mirror. “First impression really matters” I said to myself again as I really wanted to impress Ivy this first time we were meeting, to get really attached. “I'm there already." Her message entered my phone. Oh my God! And I am still here making up!.. I rushed out of my house, almost forgetting to lock my door. We had planned to meet at a luxurious restaurant where we would sit, eat and talk to our satisfaction. “I'm almost there” I almost forgot to reply to her text due to the fact that many thoughts are running through my mind. I'm actually still nervous. I maintained my composition and walked out of my compound to enter the Uber I ordered some minutes ago. “Sorry for wasting your time.” I said to the Uber driver because he has been there for a while now. “No worries, I'm sorry for coming too late.” He replied. We smiled at each other and he zoomed off. In less than 20 minutes, we got to the restaurant and I walked in, only to see a breathtaking damsel seating a few meters from where I was standing. We had already exchanged pictures and videos while we chatted days back, so she already knew what I looked like. We made eye contact and she released a dangerous smile. I removed my eyes from hers.. “OH my God, this girl is super cute." I muttered to myself while walking gentlemanly to where she was seated, although I was still nervous as f**k, I had to maintain composition to avoid losing Ivy to too many guys out there crushing on her. “Hi Ivy, I'm so sorry for keeping you waiting.” I couldn’t literally look her in the eyes while talking to her. Her eyes were so charming, adding up with the fact that she added some lashes and makeup to her face, which made her overly cute. “No, you don't need to apologize, it's fine." She replied with those charming smiles on her face. “Thanks baby girl” I teased. “Waiter!! Please come and serve this charming damsel. I shouted.. Trying all my best to impress Ivy. “Awwn.. That's sweet”.. She added.. We smiled together. The waiter arrived with their menu, and she ordered a plate of rice and chicken with orange juice. “Wow.. What a kind of considerate girl" I muttered to myself.. Because some other girls I have had something with would like to order the whole world. “Get me the same thing as she ordered” I told the waiter I was almost lost in thoughts. The waiter left to get our orders. “Once again, I'm sorry for keeping a pretty damsel like you waiting here. You are so very beautiful in person" I broke the silence after some seconds of silence after the waiter left. “We are good, you are not looking bad though.” She said, blushing.. I was like to myself.. Wow.. This is getting to somewhere. “Really!?, I thought I was ugly though.” I teased her, knowing within myself that I was a fine boy.. “Noo, you ain't ugly o.. You are a cute guy”. She complimented me. I let out a smile and she did too. The waiter arrived with the food we ordered. I tried paying with my debit card, but Ivy gave the waiter hers first in which our food was paid for by her. I was shocked. “Why did you pay for the food?” I asked, curious “I just wished to pay.” She said, smiling. I was lost in thoughts, but I shoved them off, and we ate and vibed. Ivy seemed to come from a wealthy family. You can actually tell from the way she dresses, speaks, walks and does every other thing. I wasn't really shocked she paid for our food because she is literally capable of doing that. But it's unusual. It can't be other girls.. They can never pay. But she could have allowed me to pay.. This is our first date.. I muttered to myself. It's already night, and we were done eating, drinking and vibing.. “I didn't know Ivy would be this friendly and nice after all her behavior and everything said about her on campus.” I said to myself. “Thanks for today, Ivy, you really made my day.” “Thanks for today too, Chad, I liked your vibes.” She replied to me as we walked out of the restaurant. She had ordered an Uber a few minutes ago and there was the Uber waiting for her. “I will miss you if you leave, Ivy.” I said to her, “I will chat you up when I get home.” She replied, She turned and gave me an unexpected kiss on the lips and left immediately. I stood frozen.
