Chapter 2 

 Wesley’s P.O.V 

My father was the packs top warrior, was just about as strong and fast as an alpha.  He died during one of the battles our pack had right before my freshman year.  All the warriors looked up to him and he had a hand in training everyone in the pack.  You would think being the son of the best warrior known around the states would have its advantages and I'd be next in line for the spot, but you would be totally wrong.  I am the furthest thing from that, my mom always says my dad was the same when the first met but I don’t believe her.   

Earth to Wesley, Hello you coming? Kent waved his hand in front of my face bringing me out of my thoughts.  I looked at him confused, What? Where we going?  Dude its lunch time, I don’t know about you but I'm hungry. Kent grabbed his bag and headed for the door.  I looked at the clock and then at the board. Crap I totally did not focus on the lesson. I packed up my notebook, grabbed my backpack and ran to hall to catch up with Kent.  Harley and Clark were already with him.  

Dude are you f***ing kidding me! Why would you do that? Clark shouted at me when I was close to them.  You don’t need to shout, but what are you talking about? I walked toward my locker to put my backpack away before heading to the cafeteria.   The whole school is already talking about the mishap with Alarielle, why would you talk back to her? He pushed open the cafeteria door and all eyes turned towards us.  F**k is all that came out of my mouth. 

I pushed past Harley and Kent and went to get my food. I ignored all the eyes on me and grabbed my tray and went to sit at our table. Maybe if I ignore it, it will stop. 

Do you have a death wish?  

I looked up to see Jace the new gamma to the pack, but my step brother. His dad and my mom both lost their mates a few years after each other, and found comfort in each other.   Leave me alone Jace. I don’t want to talk about it especially to you.  I took a bite of my sandwich ignoring his question.  Harley, Clark and Kent all sat down looked at me then at Jace and back to me.  You guys need to keep him out of trouble. Jace pointed at each of them. I can takecare of myself, I took a sip of my drink.

What are you doing over here at the loser table babe? Zelda came over and wrapped her arms around Jace.  Just talking to my brother babe, I’ll be over in a minute. He kissed her forehead and she walked toward the table where all the high ranks sit.  You used to be one of us losers you know, then you left us freshman year. Just go and leave me alone.  I got up to throw my food away so I could go to the science lab early.  Watch yourself Wesley, I may be gamma male but your still my brother and I care about you. He yelled to me as I walked out of the cafeteria ignorig the rest of his sentence.

Alarielle’s P.O.V 

I was sitting on Asher’s lap at lunch watching Jace talk with the geek I scared last period. Who did he think he was to talk to me the way he did?  My phone chimed with a text from Wade. I smiled 

Wade: My bike after school? 

Alarielle: Where we going gorgeous? 

Wade: Where do you want to go baby doll? 

Just thinking about Wade, I got butterflies in my stomach. Yes, I know I’m on Asher's lap texting with another guy. But it's not like they all don’t know about each other.   They all satisfy me in a different way, and are good with sharing.  Asher is the country boy everyone wants, Lincoln is the quarterback of the football team and Wade is the bad boy/trouble maker.   

Alarielle: Depends on if it includes making out with you? 

The bell rang for the end of lunch. I got off of Asher’s lap put my phone away and gave him a kiss. We started heading off to the next period. What are we doing for your birthday in a couple weeks? Echo asked me opening the cafeteria door. I have no clue. All I know is that one of my guys better be my mate so I can finally prove to dad that I’m ready to take over. I don’t know why he doesn’t think I am, I train every day, I’ve been helping if not doing Alpha duties since I turned 16. What more can I do besides find my mate?  I let out an agitated sigh. 

How does your dad feel about Asher, Wade or Lincoln possibly becoming Alpha? Zelda asked closing her locker. We turned down the hallway heading towards History class. Oh, he would prefer my mate be Allister or Gannon since you got Jace as your mate. I gave her a side glare as arms wrapped around mine and Echos shoulders.  We heard our names? What we talking about? Allister & Gannon opened the classroom door for us. Echo swooned and looked at me.  

Come on, how can you not find these guys attractive? Plus, they are so sweet. Echo mind linked me. I looked at her rolled my eyes and smiled at the Twins, Where have you two been all day? Oh, you know training your dad worked with the teachers so we could skip the first half of the day to train. Gannon sat down in the back of the classroom as we all followed. What?! He won’t even let me do that; I know I asked.  Looks like I’ll be talking to him later.  I sat down and crossed my arms.  

Does he not understand that I will be taking over soon, I don’t need the training but I would rather be anywhere but class.  Only a few more weeks and I’ll find my Mate then I’ll be even stronger. 

All of a sudden, the loud speaker clicked on. Can Alarielle Logan & Wesley Carter please come to the principal's office.  My friends all looked at me and I grunted, what now. Did little virgin geek run to the principal.
