Your 2 years of investigation has persuaded the team to give you permission to work at a closer range. With your family’s background getting a tight bond with the Anthur’s will not be difficult for you” the director of CIA, Mr. Randy Black spoke as he passes the documents to me, “Are you certain you’re giving me the authority to lead this team? Officially?” I asked, I only worked as spy for the last three years and the Anthur’s were given to me in order to secretly investigate the family composed of two; a father and a daughter for about two years now. “I have personally reviewed your shreds of evidence, your findings, and your reports. You are to make sure that you will be invited at the 25’Th birthday of Mr. Anthur’s daughter,” Oh, Amaryllis Anthur. Famously known as ‘Amary’, “She might be a beauty indeed, but you have probably seen her insane skills when she joined the modern pentathlon.” The gentlemen inside the boardroom laughed all together as they wanted to make me feel that I have to be scared of a woman, I opened my reports and saw Amary’s pictures, her hair matches her name, it’s long, red and curly, and she is indeed a beauty. Her pale skin, deep green eyes, and freckled skin makes her uniqueness stand out, “Oh, that girl is indeed a beauty man. She kicked my son’s butt ya’all. I ain’t joking about when I say my pride was hurt but damn my son would’ve been thankful of that beating but instead of hating her? He fell in love with her” the head of the General Counsel of CIA, Mr. Bernard laughed with his flabby upper body, “I have seen her from afar but I never knew her personality, I believe she’s the only heir Mr. Anthur have” I said as I put Amary’s picture back inside the envelope, “Of course she is, which is why she is trained and which is why she is strong and ready to be the queen of narcotics” Mr. Bernard added as he spoke from joking to a serious tone, “We are trusting you on this because you have been a very diligent investigator, do not let us down. You and your team have to be careful, the Anthur’s? They have an exceptional network of people to protect them, and that includes one of our candidates for the presidency, Senator Cedric Conrad” Mr. Andrei Blue the associate deputy director of CIA followed Mr. Bernard’s statement then every head inside the room titled from left to right to express their disappointment, “The Anthur’s are to be turned down, not killed but imprisoned. The lady has a chance but the father? He is to be placed to his position” Mr. Randy commented, precise and with urgency. “I believe this is where our meeting ends, James, we are giving you 6 months to work on this case and after that, if it is still not solved we will give it to another team and James? Please, don’t fall in love with the lady” Mr. Randy stood up and everybody else in the room did, I grabbed all the documents and went to my team’s room then walked directly to my office, I dialed my mother’s number and waited for her to answer as it rang, I heard an atypical sound that tells me the call has been answered, “Mom” I spoke, “Son, what made you call?” she asked in an all giddy-up manner, I chuckled she’ll probably be disappointed why, “I need to be at Anthur’s party tomorrow,” I said, direct and without hesitation, I heard my mother coughed over the phone then a clank, she’s probably drinking too much wine again, “Son, do you know have an interest in our business? Your brother would greatly appreciate your help” my mother said in a worried tone, “Mom, George is my older brother and he’s still adjusting so let him do his job as our business’s prior heir, I have found my calling and this is what I wanted to do” my mom sighed, “Then what can I help you with, why do you need to be at Anthur’s?” she asked before I even spoke I heard footsteps and the phone was like passed to another person, “Be at Anthur’s part bro, I have a meeting and I’ll be going to France, your timing is perfect. Go do your duty and be my representative as well; and mom, the conversation is finished my baby bro is busy, I am busy and you’ve had too much wine” my brother spoke chuckling and somehow scolding my mom. “Thanks George,” I said with a smile on my face imagining how they’re currently arguing, “The odds are in your favor, my brother. I’ll be leaving for Paris tomorrow and brother, be careful of the people you’d meet there.” He said with his warning tone, “Thanks bro, you know how careful I am, have a safe flight too.” I dropped the call, it’s settled then, “MEN” I shouted to call the attention of my team, they all looked at me and then I signaled them to come closer to me, “I already found a way to be part of the Red Flower’s 25’Th birthday. I will go there but you will have to help me identify all the people’s names going on that birthday that I’ll come across with and tomorrow will be the birthday,” “Can we not be part of the party?” my best friend and my second in command Levi complained like a little kid, “What exactly does your family do Mr. James?” Cory, my team’s tech for about two years now responded with curiousness. I looked at Levi, Cory and Ron my HDT (Hazardous Devices Technician) all waited for my response. Of course, Levi knows but the other two ducks don’t. “His family owns Summit Enterprises, bro the man in front of us is a f*****g gazzilionaire” Levi spoke with exaggeration, “What the f**k?” Ron said completely in uttered shock, “Please, shower us with money!!” –Cory, knelt, spread his arms as if he was waiting to be showered with money, “Funny Cory,” I said as Ron and Levi laughed their asses off, I still couldn’t believe this is happening, “Do they know that you’re part of CIA?” Ron asked, “Men, do people know you’re part of CIA? Only those who are in high commands are those that people know but us, us who goes in the field, our job will always be hidden. What people know about me is that I am still a part of our business. My family is very supportive of my job as an agent but they do not know the specifics” I spoke, “But they suspect, right?” Levi quickly retaliated after a sarcastic cough, “HA HA. Yeah, they do. Is that understood?” I asked, “Yes sir!” They sarcastically gave me a salute and all of us laughed, my team and I are like brothers already. Levi, he is the best at learning a place or land, where it’s best to hide and where it’s best to attack. He is also the person who gives me pieces of advice. Cory, he is the inventor among my team, the CIA gave our team an immense amount of money since Cory devised an earpiece that goes around your ear canal and it will be unnoticeable that you are an undercover agent, He is now working on a contact lens that you thought you’d only see in movies, a lens that’s like google glass, wherein everything you see? Information will be provided to you. He already made a lens that has a camera in it, which is very helpful whenever we are doing we comprise, And then we have, Ron, I don’t know but this person has like x-ray vision in his eyes, he knows where a bomb is, he knows where a trap is and the best, of course, he knows how to dispose of a bomb. Tomorrow, Amary’s birthday, I seriously feel like I am prey, it will be a den full of Lions. Drug addicts, millionaires, business men, candidates, heirs, it will be a place full of half devil people whose horns aren’t visible. I opened my laptop to see Amary’s pictures, background, and data we found about her. She seems like a regular lady but I know something is still suspicious about her. I looked at one of her pictures, again I have never seen her up close, only afar, and their mansion at Nashville was pretty difficult to be roamed. I only was able to stay at high trees that surround their mansion and it was far from the mansion itself. I could only use a high functioning telescope with infrared and night vision. She’s a smart typical lady, graduated from Harvard University with the course Environmental Science and Public Policy with Masters in Business administration. As what my higher-ups said, she’s a modern pentathlon contestant. But as typical as it is, during her college years she was part of different magazines for her bad habits. She’s a drunkard, she loves to party and goes home wasted, she even beaten a man to a pulp for touching her friend’s butt, and then she also dated a lot of famous and rich men. As I was scanning thru her pictures, I saw one picture when she was featured in vogue magazine. The picture was focused on her face and her majestic red hair, she quoted there, Never be afraid of your freckles, each freckle signifies the person you need to vanquish. So ladylike, eh? “An express mail from your gazzillionaire mother, real quick, fast and sent via helicopter only meant for you” Cory spoke scathingly as he handed me an envelope, it was the invitation that I need in order to enter tomorrow’s event. “Men, we’re flying back to Nashville, gather your s**t and we’ll be leaving in an hour,” I said, I grabbed the invitation and went to Mr. Black’s office, I knocked to his door and he said “come in”, I entered his office and slid the invitation to his table to show that I have accomplished my first task, “Good Job James, I pray that God guides you this endeavor. The CIA will be waiting for your success” he slid back the invitation to my direction and looked at me as if it is the last day he’ll see me. “Thank you sir,” I exited his office and then went back to our room to pack my stuff, I looked around the gray and black office and I guess we only came here for a quick rest and we’re back in our gray van and hotel room nights, After packing my bags and as my team does so as well, we went straight to the top floor to ride our helicopter, as we fly from Washington to Nashville. “Are we ready boys?” I shouted as we enter the chopper, “Yes sir! Our baby van is waiting for us at the headquarters at Nashville. We’re back to being Nomads!” Ron spoke as he placed our stuff inside the chopper, “Great! Let’s go!” I said, we then rode the chopper and watched Washington go smaller and as our view of the city turned into trees, I guess we’re back at Nashville. After almost two hours of flight, we landed at the grounds of Nashville. We did it quick and went to our van. “I already made our reservation at Gossett Apartments, since it’s just 1:30 in the morning, our big bulky bugs would not be too suspicious. “Alright, just four men living in one apartment. Ya’all better be not too suspicious yourselves.” The men chuckled as Cory started to drive the car to Gossett apartment building, we entered and went to the 10’th floor, to our room 112. “You boys will be staying here, while I have to stay at Thompson Nashville Hotel, I’ll be fetched by a chauffeur,” I said as I changed my top into a long sleeve, I grabbed my small sized luggage and gave the boys a victorious smile. They all groaned for the past two years that I have worked for my team this is actually the first time I’m taking advantage of my own wealth, As they all stared at me with complete annoyance, I closed the door and went down the exit. The chauffeur was driving a Lamborghini Veneno, “Hello Wallace,” I said, I have known this chauffeur, no more like a secret agent of the CIA who works at Thompson for about six months now, “It’s nice to see you again James,” he greeted me, I rode the passenger seat and we spoke, “So many legitimate drug dealer on the building today bruh,” he said as he started driving the car, “Thompson is like 5 minutes away from here, sorry that you had to pick me up. It’s good you hid my car well” I said chuckling, “You’re the billionaire and who wouldn’t want to drive this car from time to time? It’s sick” he said chuckling and gave the wheels a kiss, “You’re sick bro,” I said as I watched the building of Thompson Hotel come nearer, “Your mother booked you an executive suite, that’s the best room available for now but you could’ve just bought a house here” he chuckled, as we come closer to the entrance, “People cannot know that I am going to stay here for a long time, we need to make them think I’m only here for the party,” “Yeah, that’s the sad part about that. Work first.” He got out and opened the door for me, I chuckled as I somehow mocked him for opening the door for me, He also brought me my case as we made entry to the hotel, “Mr. Linden, we are delighted to have you again at our hotel.” Mr. Querel, the Director of Hotel Operations greeted me for a handshake and so I extended mine as well, “The hotel is looking excellent, is Mr. Dan here as well?” I asked, Mr. Dan is the owner of Thomson Hotels, and he is a good friend of our family. “He will be there at the Anthur’s birthday party,” he said with a smile, I nodded, “Please Mr. Querel, I have quite a tough day, I hope to have an amazing stay. Thompson looks excellent under your supervision.” I said, I need to show my superiority as a businessman and not as an agent today, I guess it’s my advantage that I do own a part in our business and my own company. I looked around and today is really filled with an excellent set of people, as I walked to the halls of Thompson hotel, I came across some of our competitors who are also good friends and some other businessmen, Soon I reached my room and it has a great view of the city, “Men,” I spoke, “I haven’t seen Sen. Conrad, we cannot identify yet to which room he is in but we are certain that he has checked in a while ago,” Levi said, “Okay, we can rest for now until tomorrow, we have Wallace on the field, and he will contact you once he comes across Senator Cedric. Party starts at 7 in the evening, I will go up there at around 7:30 pm, let’s rest for now and Ron? Please try to find out if this place has been placed with bombs. Do your magic later but for now, you all can rest” I spoke over the earpiece, I removed my lens as I am going to sleep but I placed my watch on the lamp table beside me which has a small camera to watch me over my sleep, it will also notify me if there is an unnecessary guess in my room. It will be sending data to my earpiece which will wake me by short electricity. I took a shower and cleaned my body, somehow when I close my eyes, Amary’s bright red hair is what I see, damn it. “I might be losing it” I said, as I wiped my body with towel and put on my sleepwear, I dried my hair and went to my laptop to read some data, I analyzed the room to see if no one is one step ahead of me watching my movements, I wore my lens for a while, this lens can somehow detect the metals that a small camera has, I roamed around and thankfully I have seen nothing, Soon I took a rest and slept my ass off, this will be my first decent sleep for the last 3 weeks. – Thank the Lord, I woke up at 9 in the morning, stretched my body and savored the sunlight coming from the windows. “Good morning men” I spoke, “Good Morning James, awesome slumber in that soft looking bed huh?” I heard Cory speak over the earpiece, “Yeah, so, any hints to who are in the list of Amary’s party?” I said as I dialed for room service to send me breakfast, “Send me breakfast please, under Mr. James Linden” I said, “Wow, sounds so rich bruh” Levi commented as probably all of us made laugh. “I wasn’t even able to get a penthouse nor a Thompson suite so probably a lot of rich people are here tonight, just imagine bombing this place up. So Ron, you better assure the safety of our building.” I said, “Copy that” Ron replied, Food was then delivered to my room, I dialed my brother’s phone number as the food was being arranged, and I once again looked around the room since it’s my first time being in an executive room here at Thompson hotel. “Sir, your food is ready” the room service attendant said, I gave her a $50 tip as she exited my room, is that enough tho? FINALLY, my brother answered the phone. “Do you have any important notes for me for this event? Do I need to communicate as if this was an indirect business proposal?” I asked as he listened, “Chill, nope. You need not to but remember that every party we attend is a supposed indirect business proposal. You are carrying our name and you are my representative tonight. You better listen to me when I say you are a deer and everyone is a lion. You are the prey and they are all preying on you, that’s how they look at you but, - you have to be the king, carry yourself, the Anthur’s is one of our good companions in the business world but God knows their shady business” my brother spoke as he probably puffs as cigar, “I will, I understand, damn thank God you’re older than me, I didn’t have to deal with our business too much” I said, “God knows if I have time to get married, all I do is f**k” George said chuckling and so did I, “Haha, you deserve that. You already got Angela before and all you did was f**k up, now karma is after you bro” I said laughing at his stupidity, “Yeah yeah, tell that to yourself. Like the f*****g Akari who owns the Clique Enterprises, like what the f**k man why are we knowing this s**t just now? f*****g, rich Asian bro!” Cory said too surprised while I feel it so lame, “Yeah, her, she, we dated for 3 years but I f*****g cheated so yeah f**k the world. I will be having my lunch later at the Marsh House, I will probably see a lot of prominent people so keep watch” I said, “Got that”, Levi responded, I continued reading and reviewing the files I got until that lunch break, I wore a blue khaki short and a white Polo then slipped my foot on a red and blue boat shoes. I went down to Marsh House, sat as a waitress assists me. I looked around as I was provided the menu. I ordered Barbeque Shrimp and Squash Blossoms for my appetizer, Grizzled Caesar for my salad, Sword fish for my entrée with opulent oyster. “Damn man, are you making us f*****g hungry because we’re stuck here with Pizza” Levi said, “Then you better not watch what I’m doing not unless I ask you too.” I chuckled as I speak softly, As appetizer was being served to me people turned their heads to someone my curiosity got me so I also took a look where they were all looking at, Pale skin, Bright Red hair that’s too surreal, Deep Green Eyes, Who would’ve known angels goes down to Earth? Amary Anthur, who wouldn’t fall in love with such dreamlike features. She’s like Ariel from the little mermaid, but as you look at her elegance you can see that bad-ass attitude of her. “Give me the best menu and don’t disappoint me,” she said, her face without makeup was just impressive, she’s wearing a black tank top and white cargo shorts. “She’s way f*****g beautiful in person,” Levi said, I heard him comment and to the likes of it I was drinking my juice that I almost choked. “f*****g yeah” I said as I continued eating, “Who wouldn’t fall in love to such woman bro? She’s like a f*****g Athena and Aphrodite in one” Levi added, “I don’t f*****g know,” I said as I continued eating, she sat 2 tables away from me, but as she looked around I believe I caught her attention. “Linden?” she asked, she looked at I believe her personal guard and he nodded. She stood up and oh f**k, her gloriousness is coming close to me, I stood up and tried to f*****g compose myself, I have been working with men for three years and I think f*****g forgot how to man up in front of a lady, “Anthur,” I said, as we did a quick handshake, her hands aren’t soft, you know when a person holds a gun?
