THE WHISPERING WALLS

That night, Emerson woke to whispers. Low, urgent, indecipherable. She bolted upright -the sound seemed to come from the walls themselves. Old house, old pipes, she told herself. But the words felt like names....As she crept downstairs, the whispers stopped. Silence. Then: "Get out". Emerson hesitated, heart racing.Get out. The voice wasn't in her head- it was the walls.She crept back to the bedroom,grabbed her phone, and dailed her sister, Mia. No answer .💀 As she headed downstairs to investigate,a floorboard creaked on its own. The whispers swelled: "They're coming for you, Emerson." Suddenly,the lights flickered and died . In the dark, Emerson stumbled upon a door she'd never seen. It swung open, revealing a hidden room...with photos of her. And Mia 😨. 😈The plot thickens. Emerson stumbled into the hidden room, heart pounding. photos of her and Mia plastered the walls- candy wrappers from their childhood, notes from school, even screenshot of Mia's lastest i********: post. A journal lay open on a dusty desk: "The walls see everything. They whisper the truth. But the price is loyalty." Suddenly, Emerson's phone buzzed. A text from Mia: "Emerson, GET OUT. NOW." The lights flickered back on. Footsteps echoed above. Heavy, slow footsteps... 👣 A shadow loomed in the doorway. A figure in a hoodie,face hidden, whispering: " Tell Mia... she's next." As Emerson stood frozen, the hooded figure vanished. The whispers in the walls grew louder, like a chant: "we want the truth. We want the bloodline." A hidden panel slid open, revealing a letter from Pegasus: "Emerson, if you're reading this, it means I've passed. The walls of Hollow hills have a hunger. They fed on my secrets,my fears...my family's. Now they want yours. Get Mia out. "Trust no one." Suddenly, Emerson's phone buzzed again. A video from Mia: "Emerson, I'm trapped. The walls... they're showing me things. Meet me at the old oak in the woods. Come alone." Emerson decided to head to the woods. As she stepped outside,the air felt thick , like the trees themselves were watching. She trudged through the overgrown path, phone clipped to her ears, trying to pinpoint the old oak. Suddenly, the whispers in her ear."she's not alone." She spun around - a figure emerged from the shadows. Not Mia. A boy with wild eyes and creepy grin. "You shouldn't have come" he whispered. "The walls want a sacrifice." Emerson tried to reason with the boy, but he just kept repeating,"The walls want a sacrifice...The walls want a sacrifice..." like a broken record. (creepy AF) Suddenly,he lunged at her with a weird, jagged knife. Emerson dodged just in time and pinned him to the ground.As she wrestled the knife away, he whispered: "You'll never stop it . The walls will eat you all." Emerson flipped him over - his eyes were black as coal. A car honked in the distance. Headlights swept through the trees. A familiar voice shouted: "Emerson! over here!"
