Ella's POV; "So basically you have to come to dinner tonight," I tell Joe down the phone. I had got back to mine a few hours ago, much to my dismay. "And your mum invited my brother over?" Joe asks. "Yes, I know she's a little crazy, but there's nothing I can do or say to get her to leave him alone without her getting suspicious, so I have to deal with it in other ways. Plus she's hardly going to be flirty with dad there so it will be fine," I finish telling him. "Fair enough, your parents love me anyway," He chirps down the line. "Only because they think we're a couple," I smirk. "Oh so they wouldn't love me if we weren't together?" he replies. "Probably not, I mean who would?" "Oh you wanna play that game? Okay well I'm not coming to dinner," he says, but I can sense the playfulness in his voice. "Oh what a shame, mum was cooking her famous syrup sponge for dessert," I smirk. "Okay, what time am I coming?" "Well Mattie's coming around 5, so half 4?" I smile. "Alrighhhtttt, you know count yourself lucky I'm doing this for you, I don't get any girls because they all think I'm taken, I have to give up my spare time to hang with you, and you get to swan off to sleep with my brother whenever you like," he tells me, and once again I sense a hint of amusement in his voice. "I do count myself lucky, it will only be for little while longer, I mean it's my 17th soon, so then I will be even closer to being 18, and it will be legal and everyone can shove their opinions up their ass because they wont be able to say s**t," I reply. "You expect me to fake date you until you're 18?" he retorts. "No dumbass, just until after my birthday, we can stage a breakup, and by then everyone will be talking about some other new couple so I'll be out the spotlight and I can carry on seeing Mattie," I say. "You've got this all planned out huh?" "Sort of. I'm in love with him Joe, I just want everything to work out," I sigh. "I know you are, and I know he's in love with you too," he says and I smile. "Right, I'd better go and get ready, I'll see you in about an hour," "Okay byeee," I sing before hanging up. "I knew it," Renee says as she barges into my room. "Knew what? And have you ever heard of knocking?" I roll my eyes. "You're in love with him," she whispers. "Well duh, he is my boyfriend," I reply, assuming she's talking about Joe. "Really? Well why are you staging a breakup after your birthday and carrying on seeing Mattie?" she asks and I freeze. "s**t Renee," I whisper shout and jump up before closing the door. "Why were you eavesdropping on me?" I whisper yell again. "Because I was just passing and your conversation made me listen in, be grateful it wasn't mum, or even worse dad! Ella, I'm not going to ruin this for you, I would never dream of ruining your happiness, just be careful yeah? He's a lot older than you, and I just want you to be sure he's in this because he loves you and he's not a paedophile. I just want you to be safe," she mutters the last part. "Wait, you're not going to tell mum or dad? I know you wouldn't usually, but this isn't the usual thing," I reply and she shakes her head. "Like I said, I wouldn't dream of ruining your happiness, but just please be careful," she answers and I smile at her being protective even though she's only 13. "I really am happy Ren, and he does love me, and I'm not just saying that because it's what I want to believe, I'm saying it because I know he does. He's not a paedophile, he wouldn't be allowed to be a teacher if he was, but I'm the happiest I've been in a long time," I finish telling her, and she nods. "Then I'll support you no matter what," she smiles and I hug her. "Thanks Ren," "Its what sisters are for," "Wait, what did you mean by you knew it when you walked in earlier?" I pull out of the hug and raise my eyebrow at her. "Well I knew you liked him at least because of the way you look at him," she says. "Is it that obvious?" I panic. "No, only to me because I pay attention to detail, mum and dad don't," she answers and I calm down. "Thank god for that," I laugh. "Now does this mean I can flirt with Joe? Because he is very pretty," she grins and I laugh. "What is It with this family trying to steal my boyfriends?" I laugh and so does she. "Right I'd better leave you to get dressed, it's four now," she says and I nod. "Thank you," I smile at her. "It's no problem," she smiles back before leaving. For a 13 year old she understands a lot. I look at my appearance and groan. I look like a hobo. I undress myself and decide to take a shower and wash my hair. It's not going to be easy having to sit with Mattie and not be able to just touch him or talk to him as normal, but there's nothing I can do about that. I smile as the thoughts of Mattie run through my mind. He makes me so damn happy it's unreal. A few months ago I would have never have thought I would be head over in heels in love with my teacher, which is completely crazy. I shake my head causing me to stop my train of thoughts so I could jump out the shower and dry myself off. I walk back into my bedroom and blow dry my hair. Once it was dry, I slipped some underwear and a bra on, and stalk over to my wardrobe before deciding on what to wear. I was torn between a short black dress, which was incredibly elegant, or a grey lace dress. I chose the short black dress, and slipped it on. I straightened my hair, and put on some makeup, before stepping back to take a look at my reflection. I smiled as I was satisfied with what I looked like, and took a selfie for i********:. I didn't pout like most girls do, I just smiled naturally, because in my opinion smiles are better than duck faces. That was just my opinion though and I don't diss girls when they do pout because it's not nice. "Ella!" Dad shouts up the stairs. I turn my light off and shut my bedroom door before venturing downstairs. I see Joe at the bottom the stairs and hug him. "Hey you," he grins at me. "Hello Joseph," I grin back. "Hello Joe, it was so nice of you to come," mum greets him. "Its nice of you to invite me Mandy," he smiles. "Hello Joe," dad smiles. "Hello Mick, thank you for inviting me," Joe smiles back. "It's no problem at all," dad replies. "You can do whatever you want till dinners ready," mum tells us. "What you wanna do?" I ask Joe. "Watch a movie?" he suggests and I nod. "Me and Joe will be upstairs if you need us," I tell my parents and they nod. I start walking upstairs and Joe follows. Once we get to the top of the stairs, I bump into Renee. "Hey Joeee," she beams at him. I cant help but smile as she goes over to talk to him. "Hey Ren, you alright?" he asks her. "I'm good thanks, how are you?" she answers. "I'm very well thank you," he smiles at her. "Good," "I'll let you know when Mattie's here El, byee Joee," she beams before leaving. "What was that about?" Joe asks me confused. "Oh who knows," I smile. I throw myself on my bed and Joe copies me. "I cant be bothered to watch a film," I say honestly and he laughs. "It's cool, we can just chill," he replies and I raise my eyebrow at him. "Not that kind of chilling, just normal chilling," he defends himself and I laugh. "You look beautiful by the way," he tells me and I smile. "Why thank you, you don't look so bad yourself," I smirk and he chuckles. "Excuse me I look great," he smirks. "Eh, I wouldn't say great," I smirk back. "Right that's it," he says before tickling my sides. "Joe!" I yell whilst laughing. I hop off my bed and run to the other side of my room. I run behind my desk as runs to the other side of my desk. "I will get you," he grins. "Never," I make a run for it but completely fail as he grabs me from behind and spins me around. "Joe put me down!" I laugh. "Ahem," I hear a voice, and Joe immediately puts me down. "Your mother asked me to come and get you both for dinner," the angel says. "Mattie!" I whisper shout and run up to him. He quietly closes my door and catches me as I basically trip over nothing. "Be careful," he chuckles. "Sorry," I smile sheepishly. "I just missed you," "I missed you too baby," he says before pressing his lips against mine. "Ahem, I'm still present," Joe scowls. "Oops sorry," I apologise. "You look absolutely gorgeous El," he compliments me. "Thank you. You look quite handsome yourself," I smile. I wasn't lying either. He was wearing a navy blue suit trousers and jacket and the colour complimented him a lot. "Why thank you baby," he grins. "Come on you two, lets go downstairs," Joe suggests, and we both nod before exiting my room and going downstairs.
