Three - Job Interview

Nathan kept coming in front of Julies unit, but never even once she opened the door for him, she have been jobless for days and she knows she doesn't have enough budget anymore and if she kept hiding and staying in her unit, she won't be able to survive to last for even a month.

Standing in front of the most successful transportation agency around the world. Julie was amused for how big the company is, she's very confident with her knowledge and skills, but the company made her nervous, seeing how successful it is.

"FEC Agency" She whispered reading the name of the company as she entered. "Sounds familiar" She shakes the thought away, of course it's familiar, it's just the most successful company, why wouldn't it sound familiar, right?

"I'm here to apply?" Julie said with a smile as she talked to the receptionist.

The woman nodded and smiled. "Okay ma'am," she pulled a woman staff from behind her. "This is Carla, she will assist you to the interview room, you may follow her"

Julie smiled and nodded. "Thank you"

The receptionist and Carla smiled back. "Goodluck, I hope to see you again working here soon" The receptionist said, Julie looked at her name tag and smiled again.

"I hope to be working with you soon too, Sara"

Carla guided Julie to the interview room. There was actually no hiring in the company, but when Julie resigned from her former job, her boss refered her to the FEC Agency, they declined her at first but as if the world was giving her an easy way. The Secretary of the CEO of the FEC Agency resigned due to health issues, so her former boss refered her to the FEC again, and she was immediately summoned to be interviewed.

The percentage to be accepted was very low, as their standards was requiring too much that only perfect people could be fulfill, but since Julie knows what she can do, she still tries her skill and applied for the job, trying won't hurt so she did. She may not have so much connections with the other big companies but she have the perfect skill that might reach the standards of the FEC, that's why her former boss trusts her that she can do it.

"Ms. Rosca, here's Ms. Miles, the applicant for the CEO's new secretary" Carla said as she introduced Julie to the interviewer.

"Oh yes, I was informed about your arrival but I'm not the one going to interview you" She said. "You can proceed to Mr. Rutherford's office, he's going to personally interview you"

"Mr. Rutherford..." Julie whispered. Sounds familiar too. She thought.

"Yes, he's the CEO of this company and going to be your boss once you're hired" Carla answered.

It lightened Julie, thinking that's the reason why it sounds familiar. Carla assists her to the CEO's office, they stayed outside the door.

"Here's Mr. Rutherfords office, remember to knock first alright?" Carla reminded, that made Julie chuckle.

"Of course I would"

"Oh, I just have to remind you, many applicants forgets to knock first because they were always nervous. Our CEO is very intimidating you know, please don't get distracted and just focus, I want to work with you soon, I feel like we'll be good friends" Carla said.

Julie suddenly got neervous again, but she manages to smile and nod her head, trying to be calm.

They bid goodbye then, Julie stood in front of the office, she calmed herself breathing in and out before she finally knocks.

"Come in" It was a womans voice, it made her confuse but she entered anyway.

Julie entered the office and found an old woman sitting on the CEO's chair, the old woman smiled. "Come in" She repeated.

Julie smiled back and proceed inside as she sat on the chair in front of the CEO's desk. "Good day Madam, I'm here to apply as your secretary"

"Oh, no, no. You got it wrong, I'm not the CEO, it was my grandson, I just ordered him something, he'll be back anytime soon, you can wait there for a while" The woman said.

Julie then nodded. "I apologize for the mistake madam"

The old woman laughed. "No worries, it actually amazed me that you don't know who my grandson is for you to mistaken me as him even if it obviously shows here that I'm not" She said and pointed at the name plate placed on the desk.

Julie smiled awkwardly. "I apologize madam--"

The woman shook her head. "No no, you don't have to" she laughed.

Julie smiled and just sat there, nervous and awkward, but she tried to remain her calmness.

"So you are refered by Gerald Mateo" The woman said.

Julie smiled and nodded. "Yes madam, he's my former boss from"

The woman nodded. "He was a close friend of my grandson, he have probably told that to my grandson already." She started asking things to Julie again, questions that actually not related to the job Julie was applying for, but still, she answered them respectfully. Julie kept the old woman entertained.

"You know what, I like you, You're hired" The old woman said.

Julie flinched as she faced the old woman with wide eyes, they haven't done the interview yet, they just had chitchat.

"M-Madam--" Julie was cut off by the woman.

"Don't worry about my grandson, he will listen to me if I said so, I like you, and he's been taking too long with my order" She laughed.

"But--"

Julie was once again cut off when the office door opened.

"Finally! The turtoise is here!" The old woman said.

Julie immediately stood up and looked at the door, she was about to bow to give respect, but she stopped when she saw who the person was.

Suddenly things sinked in and realizations occured and everything makes sense. That's why everything seemed familiar, the company name, the surname.

FEC Agency, Fourthland El Costa...

Mr. Rutherford...

"Calian, come here, meet your new secretary"
