Five - After That Night

Carla was the one who assisted her and helped her arrange her office. She arrived at her workplace at five in the early morning and prepared.

"Mr. Rutherford arrives around six to seven, you came just on time" Carla said asshe helped her. They were inside her office.

"Oh, that's great then, I'll take note of that too" Julie said fixing the cover of her swivel chair. "Done!" She said happily after putting on the pink cover of her chair when suddenly the door opened.

"Mr. Rutherford!" Carla panicked.

"Oh, you're already here Ms. Julie, you're early" Calian said and smiled.

Carla's jaw dropped seeing Calian smiled for the first time, she only knows him as the ruthless boss of all. The actual reason why his former secretary resigned was becase of his cruelty and they just reasoned the former secretary's health condition to avoid issues, and now seeing him smiling ear to ear is a new view for Carla.

"Came just on time sir, Carla was just actually telling me your daily routine and arrival here" Julie said, trying to smile away the nervousness.

"Well about that, I actually came here because Sara said that you're here" He pointed to Carla. "I was about to tell you that her designated office is not here, but nevermind, you can leave now, I'll be the one assisting her instead" Calian said.

Without further questions, Carla immediately left there leaving them together.

"Sorry but you'll have to pack this again" Calian said as he grinned.

"So where is going to be my office sir?"

His grins grew wider. "Inside my office, I just think it'll be better if your office will be close to mine so I can immeditely ask for ou when I need something right?"

Julie gulped hard but still forced a smile back and nodded. She tidied her things back to the boxes she brought and Calian helped her bring her things to his office. Calian took her to a table placed inside his office, it was new as she can clearly remember that table wasn't there the day she applied.

She fixed her table and organized her things, they also started working later on, Julie immediately recieved piles of papers for her to review, edit, summarize and all for Calian. There are times that Calian would watch her, and he would smile unconscously everytime he sees how focused, serious, and dedicated she is with her job.

In fact, Calian remembers her. Not just that he remembers her, he actually searched for her and the destiny was just so in favour of him when he finds out about her, working on his friend's company.

He was furious when his secretary decides on her own and declined the offer of employee transfering to their company, that was the time when Julie was declined when they asked for transfer the first time.

Calian furiously fired his secretary and accepted Julie as exchange, when he finds out she was coming that day, he immediately asked for the physical contract, until his grandmother came and ordered him to do something. It somehow annnoyed him, he tried to obey his grandma as fast as he can but it just that he still came late, but his grandma made it easily for him to hire her.

"Sav" He called.

Calian immediately caught her attention, she used to get called as Julie, and it feels new to her to be called by her first name.

"Yes sir?"

He gestured her to come close to his table that she immediately obeyed. She stood there in front of his desk, still distracted by the way he calls her name. For her it just sounds so seductive, passionate, and so new. Like, special.

Calian looked at his watch before looking at her again. "It's already time for dinner, let's go eat outside" He said.

Julie had thoughts if she would come but Calian chuckled and stood up. "Why, is something bothering you Sav?"

Julie immediately shook her head. "I'm just not used to being called Sav, people used to call me Julie" She reasoned out.

He laughed and just nodded. "So, let's go?"

Julie sighed and just go along with him. Other employees were looking at them as they walk themselves out of the building. Carla smiled meaningfully at Julie, but she just shake it off. They went to a five star dining restaurant.

Julie was roaming the menu looking for her food to order when suddenly someone held her wrist.

"Julie let's talk" It was Nathan.

"Nathan, let go of me" Julie whispered as shewas trying to take back her hand.

"No! Is this the reason why you don't want to get back with me? Because you're already dating your boss?! You sluty woman! Come with me!" He tried to pull her out from there but Calian immediately stood up.

He held on Julie's waist and pushed Nathan so he would let go of her wrist, because of the force Calian gave, Nathan lossen a grip on Julie's wrist, that's when Calian hid Julie behind him.

"Back off! Just give her to me! Don't get fooled by that cunning slut, just dump her and give her back to me!" Nathan was alreay making a scene, people were already looking at them.

Calian scoffed. "Are you gonna shut up, walk out from here and leave Sav alone? Or you'd want to test what I can do to make you shut up and leave?" Calian said those calmly and with emphasis.

He have so much authority in the way he speaks, his dominering voice that sents shivers to Julie's body.

Nathan laughed. "I was expecting you'd thank me for saving your ass from this b***h, yet this?"

Calian smirked and pulled Julie on his side, his arms still wrapped on her waist. "I don't need help, I was happy being fooled by her, so f**k off and leave" He called for security, Nathan comes with them peacefully.

"We're not over yet Julie" Nathan warned.

As they have already caught so much attention, Calian asked for a VIP table for the both of them to be away from the other customers as he noticed Julie was distracted and embarassed for what happened.

As soon as they were left alone, Julie immediately apologized to Calian for the trouble she caused. She knows this might cause issues to the tycoon, she was deeply sorry for it.

Calian chuckled. "It's fine, that guy seemed pretty obsessed, that's threatening, you should tell me if he tried to come close to you again next time"

Julie nodded. "Thank you sir, I actually really don't know why he has to be like that, he's the one who cheated and I gave him his freedom to be with his woman, that's why I don't know why he's still bothering me" She explained.

Calian sips on his wine as he slowly nodded. "Is that the reason why you drunk yourself that night?"

Julie's eyes widened as she looked at Calian.

"S-Sir?"

He smirked. "I can clearly remember everything, you know" He starred in her eyes. "I can clearly remember how we enjoyed. But why did you have to leave, after that night?"
