Reality flickered back. They completed the jump and for a moment Drake wondered whether he had gone deaf or the sensors weren’t working. Then he heard the quiet tone indicating no threats within sensor range and shook his head in disbelief. He’d been certain Acolyte ships would be guarding the jump point but apparently there was nothing. “Get us moving,” he said. “The sensors might say nothing is there but I find that hard to believe.” “Captain,” said Sonia. “If there is something there and the sensors aren’t picking it up we might fly straight into it.” “That’s true.
