As Drake walked around the ship he chatted to the crew but most of all he made sure they were taking the chance to get a break. He was sure that, like him, they wouldn’t feel particularly rested by doing so but the familiar patterns reduced the tension a little. The whole time he was fighting the urge to check in with the bridge. Sonia would let him know immediately if anything came up and the odds of them meeting another ship until they got close to the destination were incredibly low. Checking in wouldn’t achieve anything other than to communicate how nervous he was becoming but by the stars it was hard to resist. The damned headache was still there too. It was getting steadily worse and the tablets hadn’t even touched it. The pain was becoming distracting, making it hard to concent
