As the Dagger jumped Drake sat tensely, waiting for any signs of danger. He’d held the Dagger in position for ten minutes to be sure the Willow would be well clear. Now he was straining his hearing and wishing the star-blindness away as quickly as possible.
The tone warning of a ship or ships in the vicinity rang out. Drake cursed and opened his mouth to order the Dagger into motion, but before he could the ship lurched around him.
