My eyelids felt heavy as I struggled to open them. I remembered falling on the ground, but the softness I felt beneath me told a different story. I was no longer outside? Opening my eyes, the lights struck my sight first. Did I faint? I blinked hard until the shapes began to take form. I was in a hospital bed. My heart skipped a beat. I tried to move, but a dull ache spread through my limbs. Then my eyes caught what looked like tattoos on arms before they saw his full frame- Zayne. He was sitting beside the bed, elbows resting on his knees, head bowed slightly like someone lost in thoughts.
