By the time we pulled up in front of a secluded house in what looked like a private area, I was already rethinking my decision of following Jeremy here. We hadn’t said a word to each other during the ride. My heart hadn’t stopped pounding either— since he pinned me over that bike. Jeremy killed the engine, still not saying a word. I exhaled sharply as the distracting pressure of his back left me when he swung off the bike, leather jacket glinting under the dim security lights. I climbed off after him, a little stiffly.
