- 18 -Moose Willow Hospital is considered a gem by rural standards. It offers basic and even specialized care, which means that often patients don’t need to go long distances for some of their medical needs. I drove around the hospital parking lot several times looking for a space. In the winter, when the lines are covered with snow, parking becomes dysfunctional as people must guess where to park. Inevitably, people guess poorly, and parking seems willy-nilly, even encroaching sidewalks and fire lanes. I finally found a space some distance from the entrance, locked up the Subaru, and trudged through the slush toward to hospital.
