ISABELLA'S POV
"Wake up! We have to talk!" Amy is standing in front of my bed. She has a worried expression on her face.
"Ughh, get out, Ames, I can't talk right now. I am not feeling well." I tell her, trying to dismiss her. I have not felt well for two days since the conversation with my parents. I thought I was hungover, but now it is starting to get worse, and I don't know how to handle it. I am tired and in pain. My head feels like is going to explode at times, and my whole body hurts.
"We can't postpone. You have been in here for two days. We really have to talk. Here, drink this, is going to help with your symptoms until we figure what to do." She says, giving me a cup whith a mixture of herbs.
"Yuck!" I complain when I take the first sip. Is really bitter.
"Drink it all, don't think about it. We need to get you to the shower and get you ready." She keeps talking, and eventhough she is not yelling, it feels like is so loud in my head, I want to cover my ears.
I finally manage to drink it all, taking little breaks and taking small sips.
"Amy?" I look at her. "I still don't feel good. I really want to go back to bed. Please?" I ask. I don't even know what she needs to tell me that can't wait.
"No, get up. You'll start feeling better in a few minutes. Come on. I'll help you to the bathroom." She keeps saying. As she removes the covers and helps me get up. I move slowly, Letting Amy almost drag me to the bathroom. She is so tiny, I am afraid I am going to hurt her, but I really can't move on my own. After what feels like an eternity, we make it to the bathroom.
"I'll start the water. Are you feeling any better?" She asks.
I don't know. I am really tired still, but I think the pain is going away." I tell her. I am stretching my limbs, trying to massage my body to help my muscles.
"Is starting to work. You'll feel better in no time. Start undressing." Of all my friends, Amy is probably the most motherly one. They all baby me one way or another since I am the youngest, but Amy has always been nicer. Still, I don't know if I want to undress in front of her. There are things I still want to keep private.
"We are home alone. I sent the boys away so you and I could talk. come on. I'm going to help you." She starts coming towards me carefully removing my shirt. I guess is safe to say that I don't have any secrets with her anymore.
She manages to get me in the shower and starts spraying my head, and I slowly start feeling human again.
"You know, when I found out your brother was my soul mate, I couldn't believe it. He was handsome and powerful...."
"And pretentious." I cut her off while she is handing me the shampoo bottle.
"That's beside the point, focus!" She says, annoyed. "I was afraid to accept him. He is after all the next leader of the Moon Dust Coven and me... well, you already know, I had to escape my coven for survival. The Blood Rose Coven are ferocious if they find me, they will kill me and everyone near, and well, Patrick had his own issues. As stupid as they were, all those things kept us apart until we both realized that we can fight anything as long as we are together. That is why, I'll be moving in with him to the coven and you are coming with us." She says, handing me a towel.
"Wait, did you two made up? Are you my sister for real?" I ask excitedly.
"Yes, we did. It was a stupid fight, but we figured it out. Your father knows about my past, and he accepts. If there is ever the time, we will fight." I was feeling so sick that I didn't notice she looks radiant, like a different kind of glow. " Isa, what I need you to understand is that we can't escape who we are or who we are meant to be. Spells are not 100% perfect, even from a witch as powerful as you." She continues.
"I'm lost. What are you talking about?" I ask, confused.
"This is going to take longer than I thought. Get dressed, your brother and Steve will walk through the door any second." She tells me, leaving me in the bathroom. I still don't know what she meant by that pep talk she tried to give me.
I come out of my bedroom still a little tired, but a lot better than I was. Whatever remedy Amy gave me is working.
"I tried Patrick, but is not going to be that easy. She is going to need time. First, we need to figure out how to delay her symptoms. She was very weak when I went in her room, but her wolf is starting to come, I could sense it." I hear Amy discuss with Patrick. why are they talking about me?
"If her wolf is waking up, that means her spell didn't work completely, or her wolf was not affected by it." Steve intervenes. I need to know what they are talking about.
"Why are you talking about me, like that? What is going on?" I ask the three of them.
"Welcome back, little sis. How are you feeling?" Patrick says, ignoring my first question.
"Don't ignore my question. what is going on?" I ask again.
"We were just thinking that maybe your wolf is going to start showing up, it might be a good idea to consult with someone, what if you shift suddenly." Amy responds a little hesitant.
"I don't think I have it. Whatever mom and dad did to me must've killed it." As soon as I say that, I hear a sad whimper in my head. I really think I am going crazy. If I have to see someone, it might be someone to treat my head.
"I think the spell delayed everything, but I can feel it, Isa. We need help from someone who knows about shifting and having a guest living in their head." It can't be, I would feel different, I would know.
"So help from like a shifter? Like our roommate Riley? Sure, we can ask her. Is she back?" I haven't seen Riley since that night at the club, and I have no idea what happened because I was too drunk to care.
"It's been two days, and a lot has happened." Amy starts saying.
"It turns out that little wolf had a mate this whole time." Steve says, excited.
"What? That is why her aura looked relaxed and she had this satisfaction face all the time. Eww, no. I don't even want to think about it." I tell them.
"Well, that's not all. Her and her mate put a bun in the oven." Steve says almost bored.
"She's having a baby?" I yell excitedly. "Wow, that is great. So where is she?" I ask, looking at the group.
"Well, since Steve is just giving all the news, why don't you just tell her everything?" Amy tells him annoyed.
"You were taking forever, so I thought you needed help." He says, giving her one of his cute smiles. Is one of his vampire gifts. He uses it whenever there's a cute guy he wants to sink his fangs into.
"Hey, don't give my woman that smile. even witches are not immune to your vampire tricks." Patrick says, blocking Amy from Steve's view, making us all laugh.
"So where is she?" I ask, looking at everyone. They al look at each other, but nobody says a word.
