BELLA'S POV
It can't be! Is it a memory or a dream? Why am I seeing this? Can he see it?
"Mate!" I hear again, but this time, is different, I can almost see the image of a wolf, like a faint shadow that comes and goes, watching the movie in front of me. It's me, with the wolf man kissing, it feels so real, I can almost taste him, is rough and tender at the same time, he is kissing me with so much need, trying to beg me not to leave him. His blue eyes have fire in them when Patrick interrupts us, but just like that, I end it with a spell. It was to help us both, I did it for him, but now al the pain that we both went through was for nothing because I undid the spell.
"Stop her! She is bleeding!" I hear someone yell.
"She is convulsing!" I don't know who is talking anymore. My heart is about to come out of my chest.
"She's burning up. Let's take her inside, Adam, call the pack doctor. This witch needs attention NOW!" His commanding tone makes everyone quiet. He sounds almost panicked. Does he know what we are? What I did?
"You don't need to call the doctor, I can help her. Just take her inside, and I can handle the rest." I feel him lift me up. The scent of pine and rain quickly invaded my senses, making me feel a lot better.
"You can leave, Alpha. I'll take it from here." Amy's voice is commanding and decisive.
"The hell I'm leaving. Do whatever you have to do, but I'm staying." My soul mate speaks determined.
"This doesn't concern you anymore, wolf. We can take care of my sister, we don't need you." Why is Patrick always getting in the way?
"I said, I'm staying. This is my land, this is my house, and she is....." He stops himself, almost like he doesn't want to say it. "Do what you have to do. When you are done, we need you in the pack house." I hear him leave the room, and then I hear a door slam. He hates me.
"Amy, what was that about? Why is Liam so upset?" A male's voice asks, worried.
"Someone is trying to bewitch him, Bella undid the spell he was under, other than that, I don't know what's wrong with your friend." She responds.
"Is your friend going to be alright?" The same guy asks again.
"That's crazy Bella for you. She is unpredictable, but I bet she removed all the black magic in your Alpha's system." Steve, let's him know.
"She absorbed all the darkness. Now, she needs to fight it. All we can do is try to help her with the pain. Patrick is preparing something to help her remove the darkness from her system faster, but is going to be a long night." Amy says with a worried tone.
I don't know how long it's been, when I open my eyes, I feel so tired and confused.
"Where am I?" I ask to no one in particular.
"Is alright, we are at Midnight Moon pack, the Alpha's cabin to be specific." Steve responds from a chair in the corner of the room.
"What? No, no, no. I can't be here. I have to go!" I try to get up, but Steve is really fast, and he stops me, almost pining me to the bed.
"You are still too weak. What you did was reckless, it could've killed you!" He says, removing his hands of me, moving back.
"I felt like I had to. The darkness was consuming him. His wolf was on the verge of madness, he was unknowingly suffering, and I couldn't stand it." I explain the best I can what I felt when I saw him. My need to help him, those sparkling blue eyes were begging me to do something. It was probably the bond. Aggh, I can't believe I was so stupid, I restored our bond when I removed the dark magic.
"Well, is not me you need to explain. Your brother was furious, Amy had to take him away to calm him down. As soon as we noticed the fever was gone and you were looking normal, he wanted to wake you up and get an explanation. Lucky for you, Amy stopped him." What a mess!
"How is the Alpha?" I can't stop. I have to know if he knows.
"He is another you will have a lot to explain to, but I don't think is going to be tonight. The pack is celebrating, today was the Alpha ceremony, so he might be a little busy right now." I get dissapointed when I realize I probably won't see him tonight.
"Change that face, at least now you won't be so weak anymore. Being close to your mate will help."
"I don't know what you mean." I tell him pretending to be confused.
"Don't even pretend. Everyone knows he is your soul mate, and we know what you did the night you met. Is a long story, but we've known for a while." Steve just says like is no big deal.
"Who is we?" I ask, worried.
"Patrick, Amy, Riley, and we don't know for sure, but we suspect the Alpha." This is bad. There is no way we can hide it now.
"Oh, Steve. What am I doing to do?" How was I so careless. I know better than anyone that magic is only a temporary fix to a problem. Now my mate probably wants nothing to do with me, and my whole family knows what I did.
"You have to talk with your mate, he might be as confused as you are, I'm sure he will try to come find you. In the meantime, try to sleep, for what I know, tomorrow is going to be busy. Amy is going to dig into that chick's brain, and you are going to be studying all you can about shifting. The full moon is coming, and Patrick thinks that's when you'll shift." I am not even sure I have a wolf, I have to find the way out of this pack.
"But I do exist!" An annoyed voice snaps.
"Who said that?" I ask, looking everywhere.
"Who said what?'" Steve responds, coming towards me.
"I heard something. It could be one of the pack members that occupy the pack house, don't mind me." I tell him. I hope I'm right, I have been hearing weird things for a few days and is driving me crazy.
"Alright, but this is not the pack house, the Alpha will house us here, in his personal cabin. You are laying on his bed to be precise and, to be but clear, there is nobody else in the house. Amy and Patrick are not back yet." What did he just say?
"This is his bed? I ask, hoping I heard wrong.
"He brought you in himself, and before you ask, no, you cannot take a different room. That's what he told his Beta to relay to us. Your mate has a really bad temper, let's not test it." He tells me, leaving me speechless.
We are quiet for some time until I start feeling weird. The room is spinning, and I feel like I need to throw up.
"Steve....I am.....I need....." I try to ask for help. Steve immediately gets up from the chair and picks me up, taking me to the bathroom attached to the massive room.
"Do your thing, little witch." He doesn't leave, and I don't even care. I start puking everything. At first, I expel a red substance, is dark and smells terrible, then I start throwing up something thick, slimy, and black. It is so disgusting looking, Steve steps back. The smell is out of this world, too.
"Just as Amy said it would happen. You'll feel a lot better after this." He assures me, but instead of feeling better, I feel like my chest is being ripped open slowly, and I collapse on the floor unaware of what is happening.
