The year is XX35, human society lost track of time after World War IV, that war nearly annihilated the whole planet, there are no borders, countries or leaders. After the remaining humans gathered and formed an alliance to save the species, they started rediscovering old technologies and science and began applying it to better the life of everyone on the harsh remains of planet earth. They created tools and methods, processes and guidelines, developed robotics to the help with the agriculture at first and then, developed them further for other purposes, thus creating the dawn of humans and droids as a symbiotic society. But all was not good, as, like every time in human history, someone sought these development to establish himself as ruler of the entire planet under the pretense of defending humanity and developed the Biodroids... Automated droids controlled by a complex network of mainframes that responded only to him and his subordinates. These living Droids, for they were alive, keep conquering and controlling different human settlements until one such settlement took a stand and began resisting the misguided scientist...

Prologue
It's been around 300 years since the War, or so they say, after  World War IV , planet earth and all of its living creatures nearly got extinct due to the nuclear devastation that resulted. Eventually, the remnants of the human race began to join as they settled in different areas, thriving and recreating a joint society whose primary goal was to rediscover old technologies and science to help the human race strive again and reclaim planet earth. After rediscovering technologies long lost, humans managed to develop these technologies further, thus creating a new technology to help with daily chores, agriculture, mining, construction, all in the form of unmanned robots. These Robots were designed and created by a team of curious individuals that discovered an underground research facility with diagrams, books, annotations and plans on how to create mechanical beings. Every new generation developed these robots further until they reached what  today are known as Droids. These Droids became essential for life, humans became so dependent on them that they created several research facilities dedicated to the development and construction of new droids, until one day one of the lead robotics researchers, young Rob Ullrich, presented the idea of creating aa unit specialized in defense that would protect their settlements against outsiders. This idea wasn't a popular one among his peers, but specially among the leader of the research team, a not so young Dr. Wang Fu. Dr. Fu stated that, through human history, every time a weapon or defense tool was created, war surely followed and that creating such Droids would mean the start of a new war between the villages and towns, and that Rob should abandon the idea. Rob, on the other hand, thought "One day, someone on the other side of the world WILL create such droids and we will have nothing to repel them, you Dr. Fu, your hesitance will doom us all!". Some of the researchers shared Rob's beliefs and decided to secretly start developing plans to create these defense droids. With a feeling of empowerment, Rob decided that Dr. Fu was no longer fit to lead the research team and decided to move to another abandoned facility with his new team to research and develop these droids. Rob designed an Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help him control the droids, this AI's name was Iris. Iris helped Rob's team with the development of the defense droids and soon grasped the control of all of them. Rob was pleased with these developments and gave Iris more autonomy for decision making, resulting in the development of a new type of unmanned droid: the Biodroid. These Biodroids, unlike the regular droids, were sentient beings, most of them felt 'Alive', obtained energy from sunlight and never stopped working. Their appearance varied, but the constant was the size of them, each one was the size of what was known as a tank in the 4rth world war, 4 meters tall by and average of 6-10 meters long and between 3-6 meters wide, these Biodroids posed a defense wall like no other. Rob loved these new biodroids for he wanted to create the ultimate defense droid, so, in pursuit of testing the newly created defense biodroids , he pitted them against the old defense models of droid in battle. This was the beginning of the Biodroid insurgence under Rob's control, for the Biodroids, sentient as they were, felt superior to the other droids and utterly destroyed them, eventually, Iris convinced Rob that his guidance would lead humanity to new heights and that she will assist him with this heavy task and remove anyone who shall oppose him. This was the Dawn of the Biodroid Era, the beginning of Ullrich's campaign of conquering the remnants of the human race. But he did not account for the human element on his plan as one of the researchers that had joined him, named Ivan Borg, had second thoughts about the route the team was taking and re-joined the remnants of Dr. Fu's team. Ivan told them of Rob's plans, prompting the team to develop a defense mechanism against this biodroids using all the information and research provided by Ivan, they created a new type of Biodroid, sentient like its predecessors, but with a critical design decision that could prove to be the defining factor in the upcoming war: Human Pilots. These Biodroids were created to complement their human pilots, developing a BioResonance System to create a new conscious entity birthed by the fusion of the Biodroid's and pilot minds. These new Biodroids, along with their human pilots, created a bond so profound that the sense of individualism was lost and they became one being. With this, the Earth Defense Force (EDF) was created and, lead by Dr. Fu, they presented a line of defense against Rob's Biodroids. Years went by and the war reached a stalemate, until one day...
