AMARA " Here drink this," Isabella showed a red plastic cup to my face, almost hitting my nose. " Nah-uh, no alcohol," I took a step back. " Oh come on, it's just fruit punch," she moaned. " Tell that to your feet," I pointed to her wobbling legs," I am going to get some fresh air." " Wait, I will come with you," she drowned the content in the cup. " No need. Josh is already giving me evil eye," she turned around and giggled when she saw her boyfriend winking at her. " Are you sure?" That's why I love her. No matter what she will be always a mother hen. Sometimes it's annoying but I really appreciate her concern. " 101%," I shoved her lightly. " Okay. But keep your mobile with you. And come back in 15 minutes." " Okay okay my mummy dearest. Now go," I laughed lightly as she reluctantly returned to her boyfriend. I watched as she laughing while Josh peppered her face with kisses. I slipped out through the kitchen door and walked into the backyard. Some people are wandering around there. Mostly couples eating each other face. It's not that I am envy. But I can never get used to this PDA, maybe because I am single since birth or my parents are restrained outside their bedroom. Today is the night before our highschool graduation. We the senior students are having a private party at the cabin of Josh, a present from his parents for his 18th birthday. Josh is the mayor's son and everyone knows this cabin. As long no drugs are involved and the still underage don't drink alcohol it's all cool. But those who can drink are not allowed drink o much or drive. I walked into the woods away from the noise and hormones. As I reached a clearing I sat down at a flat Rock. The moon is full and very bright today. It exuded a mesmerizing glow that will keep you captive. I am not exception. Today I felt the moon is a bit unusual. Like it is trying to tell me something. Or more likely it's sharing it's emotion. " Damn, I think just the smell of the alcohol is enough to make me hallucinate." I shook my head laughing. I checked mobile and saw it's almost 15 minutes. I better go or Isa will start being anxious. I stood up to go while patting away the dust. Suddenly a rustling sound come from the bush behind me. I froze. The rustling started again. I know I am being paranoid but my heart started race and a chill went down on my spine. I always had a great instinct and now my instinct screamed danger. I ran without a single thought. Footsteps followed me closed. It was heavy and seems like a animal's. But that's impossible. This woods is safe and no dangerous animals should be here. Yes it shouldn't but what is it. I turned slightly which was a big mistake. I tripped and fell. Just as I turned around a large shadow fell on me heavily. Now I saw it clearly. It's a wolf. A large wolf that is black as night and with golden eyes and gleaming fangs. It lunged forward and bit my shoulder I could do nothing but scream while struggling. But it's only intensified the pain. I started lose concious don't know if it's because of the pain or blood lose. Maybe it's from the both. Is it how my incomplete 17 years old life end ? The last thing I heard was a scream that seems to be Isabella's. Maybe it's because I am going die but I hope it's not. •••••••••••• The piercing smell of hospital entered my nostrils. I really don't like this smell, which is ironic given that both my parents are doctors. I opened my eyes slowly and wished I didn't. Oh God, I really gonna get another lecture now. " Ara, are you awake?" There is no point of pretending. They already saw. " Yes mom," my sound come out scratchy, I almost cringed. My mom helped me drink some water. " Thank God. You know how worried I was ? We were halway over to pick you up, when a call came saying that you are heavily injured," Mom's face started to blush from anger but I can only lower my head because I know they were worried and anxious about me. They always were. " Enough Anya. She is already tired and in pain. Don't make her more stressful." My dad patted her shoulder in a soothing manner. Then he blinked at twice with a tiny smile. I could tell he is trying to make me feel better despite the concern in his eyes. He always done that whenever rescuing me from scolding. It's like our secret code. " That's right Aunt. The woods were always safe, who would have thought a wolf will appear out of nowhere. Ara must have been very shocked and scared," Isabella who I didn't notice standing there sighed. Josh was with her too. " It's my fault for not accompanying you. I am sorry Ara," She looked at my wound with teary eyes. " It's not your fault. I should have checked the woods before arranging a party there. I put everyone at risk," He rubbed her back with a frown. " It's not both of your fault. That wolf could have just got there. And even if you were there with me that means a double dinner for the wolf," I smirked playfully," It's just I am unlucky today. What can I do? I am Irresistible for both human and animals." " With a bloody shoulder you still has the mind to joke? " Mom reprimanded but the anger from before is almost dissipated. " I am sorry for worrying you guys. I just needed fresh air and I didn't mean to go deep. But I did and this happened," I looked at my bandaged shoulder. I am sure under it was a ugly wound. I already expected it when that Wolf's fangs sinked in. I shivered remembering it's golden eyes and fangs. Now I think about it I am sure it changed into dark green orbs for a moment. Eye colour changing wolf? I right. I snorted for which Isa gave me a eyebrow rise. " Later," I mouthed at her. She nodded in understanding.
