A Contract With Mr Handsome: One Touch Is All It Took

CHAPTER THREE

KIMBERLY

Standing right in front of me was the most handsome man I had ever seen.

He was 6’2 tall and had a tattoo by the side of his neck which stopped just before his shoulder.

His choice of hairstyle made me wonder if he was currently in the military because he had an induction buzz cut.

This dude standing in front of me is super hot. Damn!! I couldn’t help but think. I didn't care if was shameless ogling him.

And I wanted to continue seeing the shocked and angry look Dave had on his face after he saw this handsome stranger peck me on my lips.

“Uhm… The traffic was terrible Babe,” I played along.

Dave didn’t tell me much about his family and I was too busy working to sort my family bills for me to have found out.

But seeing that this guy was all lovey-dovey with me, even though we didn’t know each other meant that he was pretending. This was all an act.

I had read so many romance books and watched so many romance movies that were similar to what was happening now.

Nevertheless, I decided to play along because I didn’t know his motive for wanting to do this and most importantly I wanted to save him from embarrassment.

I was also going to enjoy giving Dave a taste of his medicine by doing this. So it was going to be a win-win anyway.

Everyone on the table was now looking at this handsome stranger and I as he went down on one knee and brought out a ring box.

Wait, was he about to do what I was thinking?

Just how desperate was this guy for him to want to propose to a girl he just met a few minutes ago?

“I know we’ve had our ups and downs, Babe. But I’m willing to be a better lover to you and there is no one in the world I’d like to spend the rest of my life with aside from you. So please would you make me the happiest man on earth by marrying me?” He asked as he looked at me with love in his eyes.

I didn’t even know this guy's name yet, but looking at him up close right now, his face kind of looked familiar as though I had seen him somewhere before.

Then it clicked in my head, he was the guy that my female colleagues at the convenience store always used their spare time to obsess over as they watched his videos and pictures on social media.

I remembered them saying he was the most sought-after bachelor in the city, but why then was he now proposing to a girl he didn’t know at all?

Anyway, I had already made up my mind to play along and so far I loved the look on Dave’s face as he watched us.

He looked like he was going to explode with anger any minute from now.

Yeah! How does it feel jerk!! I so much wanted to yell at him but knew better than to do that.

To make it look more realistic, I went down on my knees and hugged the handsome stranger tight, pretending to cry tears of joy.

I almost didn’t want to pull away when I hugged him because I felt so warm when my boobs came in contact with his muscular chest.

Seems like he worked out a lot.

I felt so safe and small when his broad shoulders enveloped me as he hugged me back with a hint of surprise on his face before he masked it away.

“Of course, I’ll marry you!!” I yelled happily when I pulled away from him and then he slipped an engagement ring into my fingers.

If only this was real, I thought to myself as everyone who sat at the table began clapping their hands except Dave and his girl.

Dave angrily stood up and left the table, walking away to God knows where as his girl kept following him and calling out his name but he didn’t answer.

Everyone present at the table looked at his retreating figure and wondered why he behaved that way, but they got over it and their attention was on us again.

I couldn’t believe how I managed to date a jerk like Dave and why I hadn’t noticed his insincerity towards me until today.

All he ever did when we were together was f**k me at every slightest opportunity he got.

At least now that we weren’t together anymore my cunt was going to take a long break from always being sore.

“Nick please can you let your fiancée sit close to me?” The eldest woman whom I was guessing was Dave’s grandma said to me with a sweet smile.

Oh, so his name was Nicholas. It kind of suits him though, I thought to myself as I looked at the handsome stranger whom I just found out his name.

“Come sit close to me baby,” The woman then added again without even waiting for a response from Nick.

Baby? Well, I liked the sound of it. It made me feel wanted.

It was already crazy enough that I had accepted to go through with this in the first place.

Especially with someone I knew was related to Dave. They actually looked like cousins, so I guessed that they were.

And what would have been more crazy was if I had agreed to sit and have dinner with these high-class people.

I knew I would have committed a lot of blunders, so I decided not to embarrass myself and Nick.

“Actually, I just came to apologize to you all that I won’t be able to stay for dinner tonight because I’m not feeling too strong,” I lied and Nick, who was standing by my side, looked at me with creased brows but masked it away before anyone could notice.

"Pardon me asking dear, but Nick is very secretive, so he didn't tell us he has been a relationship. What is your name dear?" A woman who looked like Dave asked me with a smile.

"My name is Kimberly Young," I answered and she smiled but I felt uncomfortable with her smiles.

“Alright, we understand then. But please make time to come have dinner with us okay? Because I would like to bond with my future daughter-in-law,” The eldest woman on the table said again and I nodded my head in acceptance.

I said my goodbyes to all of them and left the garden with my arms and Nick’s intertwined as we walked away.

When we got to a safe distance away from the garden I pulled my arms away from Nick.

I wanted to remove the ring to return it to him and tell him that I just played along to save him from embarrassment.

But that was the moment Dave and his girl chose to walk in on us.
