Destined to Fall

(Uknkown POV) I didn't think that today would be the day that I finally meet my mate, I thought that my long-time boyfriend would be my mate I never expected it to be him. I went to school just like normal my wolf Kaida was rather restless today, when I asked her she simply said that something big would happen today. I got to school and a girl was gushing about how she had spent the night with the notorious playboy, Blyke, he was handsome I had to give him that. With his long black hair and bright green eyes that would make any woman's knees weak, he also had a lip and tongue piercing. Blyke was also set to be Alpha of the Blackblood pack, one of the strongest packs within our state. My pack, the Bluemoon pack, was the second-strongest pack, and I was set to become Luna of the pack and I had already chosen my long-time boyfriend, Daniel, to be the Alpha. I was walking through the hallway when someone shoulder checked me and my books fell and scattered on the floor. Sabrina, my long-time bully, just laughed at me. She'd been making my life hell since. I began high school. "Watch where you're going, Vivian." she sneered at me even though she was the one that shoulder-checked me. I muttered out an apology, not wanting to make her cause a scene, Sabrina thought that just because she was the daughter of our Beta she was better than everyone, including me. Sabrina walked away with her posse and she looked over her shoulder and then smiled, I thought it was aimed at me, but I would soon find out how wrong I was. My boyfriend was suddenly at my side helping me pick up my books, I sighed and stood up. "Are you alright, love?" Daniel asked me and I nodded. "Yeah I'm good." I said, brushing myself off and taking the books that Daniel handed to me, the bell rang, and I cussed under my breath, I couldn't be late again or that would result in detention. I kissed Daniel goodbye and ran to my class. Unfortunately for me, the teacher was standing there with a detention slip. I sighed for the second time today and took it, well there went my after-school plans Class went by extra slowly today, and then it was time to go home, except I couldn't. I had detention. I headed to the classroom where detention was held, I opened the door and sitting with his feet on the desk was the playboy Blyke. I groaned, I didn't want to deal with him. My wolf suddenly went ape in my mind. Mate, she was telling me over and over, I froze. No way, he couldn't be my mate it was supposed to be Daniel. Blyke turned his head to look at me and it felt like time had froze, I snapped out of it and looked away heading towards an open desk as far away from Blyke as I could get. Blyke got up from his desk and came over to where I was sitting, he smelled of evergreen and she-wolf, my nose crinkled in disgust. Kaida on the other hand was practically purring over the scent, though she wasn't happy about the she-wolf scent. Blyke sat down in a chair facing me and I made it a point to look anywhere but at him, he chuckled and the sound made my heart skip a beat. I huffed and continued to look everywhere but at him. "You can't ignore me forever little wolf." Blyke said his voice was a deep sexy octave that would have you jumping off a cliff if he asked. I didn't answer as I knew he would win if I interacted with him, he followed my gaze trying to lock eyes with me but I didn't look at him. "Little wolf." Blyke tried again his voice giving away his slight annoyance at the fact I was ignoring him, he was right though I couldn't ignore him forever so finally I looked at him. "What do you want?" I asked Blyke, and he gave a lopsided grin that made butterflies flutter in my stomach, he didn't say anything for a while as if debating how he should say it. "You're my mate." He said bluntly as if I didn't already know that. "Little wolf, can you give me a chance?" He asked and I scoffed. "You sleep with every she-wolf you come into contact with, and never the same one twice, why would I give you a chance when you are a known playboy?" I asked and there was a certain heat in my words that made Blyke smile, like actually smile. "You do have a fair point little wolf but I would never do anything to hurt my mate." He said and for a second I most believed him. The bell rang and I got up and pulled on my backpack. "I wouldn't give you a chance and besides I'm already in a loving relationship." I said turning my back on Blyke and heading towards the door. "It's not as loving as you think Little wolf." Blyke called after me and I knew he was just trying to get under my skin, I wouldn't let him, but there was a small voice in the back of my head that said what if? I shook my head I wouldn't let the playboy ruin my relationship that had been going strong for four years now. I heard footsteps behind me but didn't bother to look back, I knew who it was and I most certainly didn't want to deal with him again. Blyke wasn't ketting the hint and followed me out to the parking lot, finally he went over to his car and I went to mine, I just wanted to get home, today was long. I also wanted to see Daniel, so ignoring Blyke I drove off.
