ALINA It was the morning of my welcome party. I could already hear the commotion throughout the pack house. Pack members were starting to file in from parts of the territory. Most of them didn’t live in the main pack house, but in their own smaller pack houses. The main house or what I refer to as the castle, was for ranked members only and the wolves who work in here. Rex had my stuff moved to our room the day after I met his parents. Ever since then, we’ve been mating like a bunch of wild animals and enjoying every minute of our alone time together. But when I woke up, Rex wasn’t there and my phone was blinking with a text. Rex: Good morning, baby, when you’re ready, meet me at my office. I have a surprise :) The text brought a smile to my face. I ran into the bathroom to get ready. I washed my face and brushed my teeth. On the back of the door was the dress I was supposed to wear tonight. I frowned. I was never a dress person, but I knew Rex would love it and I would have to dress to impress. Ignoring the dress, I went back into the bedroom to get dressed. I didn’t have training this morning and it was summer, so I opted for a pair of loose fitting tribal printed shorts and loose cropped tee to match. I slipped on my new favorite converses and moved towards the door. “Get out Kailey!” I heard Rex roar. “Come on, baby, don’t you remember what a good time we had?” Kailey pouted. “Get out, now!” Rex ordered. I could feel the Alpha aura emanating from his office. I pulled the door open to see a she-wolf with fiery red hair and a body to die for storm out of the office. She rushed past me without even giving me a glance and raced down the stairs mumbling curses. “Alina!” Rex was standing in the doorway. “Well she seems pleasant.” I grumbled, walking over to him. I stood on my toes and planted a kiss on his lips. “What did you want me to meet you here for?” “You’re not going to ask?” Rex raised his brows as he pulled him into office and shut the door. “I’m assuming that was the she-wolf that you hooked up with and now that she’s back for the party, she wants to get in your pants.” I went behind his desk and sat in his chair before he could. I gave him a mischievous look and went as far as putting my feet up on his desk. “What did you want to show me?” “Right!” Rex grabbed my hand and dragged me out of his office to one door over. On the door were two pack seals, the Red Woods seal and.. Mine. The pack seal of Ocean Wood was a rising moon over a vast blue sea with a wolf howling on the beach. My own pack’s history was carved into the wood starting with the founding of Ocean Wood and ending with its destruction. “Rex..” I breathed out. “There’s more.” He said excitedly and opened the door. Inside was my new office as Luna. It looked similar to his with two bookshelves to the ceiling on both sides. Except, in the center of the left wall was a gray stone fireplace and a couch in front of it. I had a bear skin rug in the center and I had my own desk similar to his with soft cushioned chairs in front and a swinging basket chair that hung from the ceiling. Behind the desk were two large windows separated by a framed map of the Ocean Wood territory. “Rex, it’s beautiful. When did you even have time to do this?” “I have my ways.” Rex pulled me to him and planted a kiss on my forehead. “I want Red Woods to feel like home to you, but I wanted you to have a piece of Ocean Wood. I know it means a lot to you.” “This is perfect. Thank you.” I placed a lingering kiss on his lips producing a growl from his throat. “Alina, I promise you that we will take Ocean Wood back.”
