CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE Though Xander managed to get away, the rest of the prisoners did not. Without either Isaac or Xander to lead them, the prisoners were too disorganized to put up much of a resistance against the Master Mages. It took all seven Master Mages working together less than an hour to subdue and lock up all of the prisoners. A few prisoners tried to put up a fight, but they were no match for the Master Mages and most of them ended up surrendering anyway, although a few died after foolishly believing they could defeat the Master Mages. The corpses—including Isaac’s body—were moved outside to the prison’s graveyard, where they would be buried once everything had calmed down. I didn’t help much, because I was too worn out from my fight with Isaac and Xander to fight the hundreds
