CHAPTER FOUR
Master Adam and I spent another hour hashing out the details of the agreement. Master Adam was a surprisingly tough negotiator, forcing me to be more careful than usual in order to make sure I got what I wanted. Half of me wondered if Master Adam had run a business before because he sure negotiated like a top-tier businessman who knew what he wanted and wasn’t going to settle for anything less.
Once we came to an agreement that we both liked, Master Adam left my apartment, though he gave me his phone number before he left so I could call him if necessary. I gave him my phone number so we could keep in contact and promised to give him regular reports on the status of the case so he would be aware of my progress.
