COLIN’S POV I don’t think this through, I don’t give myself time to. The moment I leave Max, something in me is already moving, already decided, like if I stop for even a second, I’m going to start thinking too much, and right now….... Thinking is the problem because every time I do, it circles back to the same thing. Her, the kid, my mother.
