Chapter Five 5 Sleep in the same bed

Emma runs into the shower feeling hot and sensitive all over.

"Aunt Daniela why did you do this" she said soaking herself in a cold shower. Emma stayed in the bathroom for a long time while David waited outside.

"What's taking her so long" he wondered.

He presses his ear against the door but hears nothing. "Emma are you in there?" He asked and then knocks on the door.

"This not funny" he said still knocking.

"Go away"she said.

"Emma come outside we're not sleeping together"he said.

"Oh really where are you going to sleep on the couch I'll stay in here" she said.

"Don't be stubborn come outside or I'll open the door" he said.

The door opens slowly and Emma was wrapped in a bathrobe her hair was wet.

" I'm not sure I'm going to let Aunt Daniela pick food for me again" she said her cheeks flushed.

Emma goes to the changing room and puts on pyjamas.

David comes out of the bathroom shirtless. Emma's cheeks were flushed and she turns her face away. "He has a beautiful body"she said to herself.

"Don't act like a saint"he said.

"Can you just put a shirt on" she said, "What you haven't seen a naked man before?" He asked approaching her.

"What are you talking about are you trying to seduce me"said Emma.

"You'll only get seduced if you're having little thoughts about me"he teased.

"You- what are you talking about? What thoughts?" Said Emma turning to look at him. She looks at his honey coloured skin and abs she wished she could touch it, "I feel like I'm being taken advantage of"he said going into the changing room "I pray he never comes out"she said.

David comes out of the changing room wearing pajamas too, an ash coloured shirt and red checkered trousers.

Emma was lying on the couch fast asleep she has taken duvet and wrapped herself in it like a little cat.

David sighs "Emma the room's cold we can't do it this way"he said.

"Turn off the air conditioner then"she said yawning at the same time.

"You heartless little thing" He said grinding his teeth. David smiles and then drags the duvet. Emma starts shaking and opens her eyes, "Hey what are you doing"said Emma.

"Emma we're husband and wife"

"Only on paper that was your word " she said , with sleepy eyes.

"I know do I look like a cursed thing, we have to adapt to changes sometimes, get up either you come to the bed or you sleep on the couch without the blanket"he said going to bed.

"What "she said. Emma watches this heartless man go to bed while she shivered in the cold. He wraps himself warmly in the blanks, "Have a good night"he said turning off the lights.

Emma shivered in the cold and didn't know when she found herself on the bed. What made things worse was that immediately she climbed the bed he dragged the duvet all to himself and didn't even bother to look at her.

"You're doing it in purpose, okay fine you win can we please share the blanket?" She said grinding her teeth.

David says nothing like he fast asleep "Mr Clarkson I'm freezing to death"she said still no reply.

Emma turns to side feeling a bit sad and angry. "I'll show him"she said.

"Here you go before you send your ancestors after me"he said giving her a part of the blanket and covers her with it.

"Don't be a selfish little cat" he adds.

Emma feels warm and she puts a dividing pillow. "Stay on your lane"she said going to sleep. David says nothing and watches her as she closes her eyes to sleep, "When did she get such a vicious tongue oh well he was going to show this stubborn thing that he's boss"

**The next morning **

The sun peeped into the room and the young couple were entangled in each other's arms, Emma was resting her head on his chest while he had his arms wrapped around her. David opens his eyes and looks at the figure in his arms, he raises his hand to touch her but he stops and withdraws his hand.

She was so beautiful just like before when she saved him from being kidnapped, she got injured too and that brat Liam took his place and hurt this little thing, crushing her heart to pieces, they would all pay. Emma moves and David closes his eyes and turns away but she holds him, "Where are you going To Liam don't run away again " she said. David's facial expression changes into a frown, "She's still thinking about that prick " he frowned.

"Damn it" he said grinding his teeth and was about to get up from the bed when Emma drags him. "Where do you think you're going you promised to marry me, what changed, I saved your life when I was four years old and now you're leaving" she said shedding tears. David's heart skipped a beat and softened , That scheming brat took his place in her heart he's going to pay. David watched a tear roll down her eye, and trickle down to her ear. He stretches his hand towards her face, his hand shaking he wipes the tear on her face and Emma held his hand on her face. "You're so warm" she mumbles.

David felt like opening her head and see what this woman was up to, she was literally seducing him while she was asleep. She snuggles up in his arms "Come let me kiss you" she said holding his face. David's eyes widened, he was short on words. "What was she doing" he wondered, Emma's face was getting closer and closer she leans in close. David was thinking wake her up or just take advantage of her, he thought " Well at least it's a dream I'll be the one to feel it" he smiles. He lowers his head and she kisses him right on the lips, her lips were so soft and sweet, he felt a shock wave and a current pass through his body as she kissed him. He looks at her and then removes himself from her grip and goes to the bathroom, Emma rolls to the side of the bed muttering something to herself. David chuckles, she was just too cute, he missed her chubby face and shy attitude. The girl had turned into a scheming arrogant kitten.

David comes out of the bathroom and dresses up for the day, this kitten was still asleep. He sits down on the couch and then decided to join a meeting, Emma opens her eyes and then she looks at David. "You're up early, good morning" she said. He says nothing and continues what he was doing, Emma stands up and goes to the bathroom. "Is the door open yet" she asked.

"No" he said Emma brushes her teeth and then showers. David decided to cause some mischief, watching her kiss that son of a b**** in her dreams made him want to shoot Liam.

He faces the angle of the bathroom door and continues with his meeting, Emma comes out of the bedroom wearing a huge bathrobe. His subordinate who was analyzing the stocks paused as he saw Emma coming out of the bathroom with the bathrobe and wet hair.

"Is that a woman?" Someone whispered, David acts like nothing happened and continues talking with them.

"Where's the hairdryer I can't find it" came Emma's voice from a corner.

"It's here" he replies, passing it to her they see a woman's slender hand with a ring on her finger taking something from him.

The conference room was in shock "Is the president married oh my I think he is she's wearing a ring I want to see her" said someone.

David looks at Chang his assistant who was analyzing and he gets himself back.

"What about Shi pharmacy is the new batch of medical equipment out?" David asked.

Chang nods "Um...yes president Lu it will be out in two days time" said Chang.

"Good you're all dismissed"he said.

The screen goes blank, "President Lu is married oh my God did you know about it" I'm curious to see the beauty who captured president Lu's heart "

"I'm so jealous out president is not single anymore"

"They look like a loving couple "

All this where heard from the conference room.

"Her voice is so sweet I just ate dog food "

Emma was drying her hair unaware of the chaos she had caused in Lu holdings.

David had a satisfied look soon he was going to show that brat of a scheming younger brother who he is, for messing with his life.
