Bhoomi
I was doing some drawing and had also completed few sketches when my grandmother decided to give me some work.
"Do I have to go right now?" I asked her making a puppy face but I know that this was useless because she will make me work anyhow.
"Darling you are free now you should go and give this to him." She said and handed me the box.
"Whom I have to give?"
"Two houses away a new tenant had arrived and he is living their alone and I don't know if he had also made his food or not. I am worrying about him."
"Sometime worry about me as well"
"You are over here that is why I don't have to worry and now you should go and give him."
"By the way how does he look?" I asked in a curious way.
"Why? You have to marry him?" I quickly shook my head and I ran away from there and I heard her chuckling. She tease me more than my mother. I think my mother had learnt to tease me from her mother only. I sighed and started to went towards his house. But I suddenly realized that, that day I had felt that I had saw Ashish over there. But I also concluded that it was my imagination and today is the perfect time to find the truth and it will also prove me if I was imagining or was he there for real. I entered in the building but I found Vidhya. She is landlord daughter who is very bubbly girl and can turn every sad face into smile.
"How are you Vidhya?" I asked her and she smiled and I also smiled.
"I am fine. Do you know?" I looked at her with questioning eyes.
"What I know?"
"That there is a new guy living in our apartment."
"I do know about that but I don't know who is he?"
"I also don't know his name but I had saw him one day and he is very tall and looks handsome I think you will like him when you will saw him." My eyes wide open and I slap a little on her head.
"From where you learn this things?" And she giggled in response and ran away. "I don't know how they get this idea. They are just tiny and know more than what they should know?" I shook my head and went upstairs. Here not so many people live and I know that only one room was empty when I had last heard about it and now that room is occupied by a guy and my grandmother who is very caring is also helping a stranger. I smiled. Even though she teases me but she has a pure heart. I reached the floor and knocked on the door but I don't think that someone had even heard the knock. I again knocked and that too hard this time so that the person could heard and after few minutes I heard a groan and after that footsteps.
"Who is this?" He said and looked at me and my eyes met mine and widen as well.
"Ashish." I mumbled a little. He closed his eyes.
"I think I am very tired that I am imagining someone." He said and was about to close the door.
"You are not imagining the thing Ashish. I am here for real" and he opened his eyes and looked at me for few seconds and then his eyes become cold a bit. I looked at him confused.
"What are you doing over here?" he asked in a cold way and I looked at him weirdly.
"When have you become like this Ashish?"
"Don't bother to ask me that because I am changed and now please tell what are you doing over here and leave." I looked down for few seconds and with trembling hands, I handed him the box. "What is this?"
"I don't know how my grandmother knows you but she was worrying about you and that is why she had sent you this food." I said and looked at him who was looking at the box only like I wasn't existing there at all. This hurt my heart.
"Now if your work here is done than you can go." He said.
"Ashish will you give me a chance to explain myself now."
"Bhoomi, I don't think that there is anything to explain now and I think we weren't meant to be together that is why we got separated soon and we should now not talk about what was between us"
"Ashish I know that I have hurt you but there is still a lot of thing which didn't got fade away between is and we have to made it fade away."
"I am not in mood right NOW." He emphasized and before I could say anything he step back and closed the door. A tear slip down my eyes and I whip it off.
"There is a lot of explaining that is between us Ashish, it just that right now you are not ready to accept that but I will make sure that you will acknowledge this soon. " I said and went away from there and went to my home.
"Have you given him the food?" Grandmother asked and I nodded.
"Yeah I have." I said and went to my room. Now one thing is clear and that is that, that day I had saw Ashish only and now I have to practice pretty hard in order to win his heart back and heal his heart. I promise that I will do that.
