The food was good. Everyone had eaten their fill and there was plenty leftover. “Just combine it all into a box and I’ll put it in the fridge,” Will said. They all looked at one another. “Fine, I’ll do it,” Judy said and started the process.
Renee turned up the volume. Nothing had changed. The strange invaders had done nothing, just as the rings had predicted. However, they hadn’t left either. “I mean, are they just going to hover there forever or are they going to start shooting people out of frustration? I can keep this whole waiting thing up all night,” Dave said.
“No idea, but I’m bored,” Jessica replied and leaned back into the couch, “I would much rather be lying on a beach somewhere,” she finished. “When are you not bored?” Renee asked. “When I’m on the beach,” she replied.
