Washington D.C. It was cold, cloudy and the crowd had gathered behind the barricade to see the invaders. Troops waited along the edge. Some faced towards the crowd, others towards the floating invaders. Judy and Renee stood among the gathering. “If they noticed us, they haven’t shown it,” Judy said the obvious. “Yeah, the whole not shooting at us thing was my first clue,” Renee replied.“ Are you sure this is how we want to do this? I mean, maybe they can’t detect us at all, or see us at least. We could just tell the others,” she suggested. Judy looked at her, then at a guy who appeared to have lost his mind. He was ranting about aliens and looked as if he had been wearing the same clothes for a week. “Send that guy home. Don’t make a big show out of it, just calm him down,” Judy said. “
