Secret

Chapter 1

"Thank you so much for your help Barrister Jefferson we do appreciate your help!!" A woman Elaine had just won a case for said. "It's my pleasure and ofcourse my job I was paid to do this!" Elaine replied. "I know it's your job but it came very cheap lawyers are charging an arm and a leg for this exact same case I was afraid I'd lose my son!!" The woman remarked. "I know, just tell the lady to stay out of trouble and away from girls!" Elaine warned. "I will" The woman said cheerfully before she continued " He would have been in jail by now if not for you!!" "Stop the pleasantries!! It's my job!!I'll be off now hopefully I won't see you next time at court!!" Elaine said getting into her car. "Hopefully!!" The woman screamed back in response.

Elaine pulled up at her house and got out she had gone through three cases that day and she was exhausted but she had two more cases the next day. She got out of her SUV and went into her house. She got in the room took off her clothes and had a shower. After freshening up she opened her fridge for some cold noodles but decided against it so she would work faster. She rarely cooked because of the impact of her work. She sat down and got out her laptop to work.

At around 11pm she switched off her laptop and got up to get a plate of cold noodles. She opened the fridge tired and when she closed it she realized the door had hidden a man who now pointed a g*n at her within five seconds a bullet flew into his skull. Elaine turned around to see another man who had shot it and then she fainted.
