CHAPTER FIVE: STRUGGLE FOR LIFE

ALIANDRA'S POV

I returned to the mansion with a somber countenance and met Alpha Roman in the living room all by himself.

As I walked in with May, Alpha stood up with Open hands and a beaming simile to hug me while May quickly returned to her duties.

“ You left me all alone on the bed. Where did you go? “ He confronted me with those words, pulling me to his warm hands.

I ran out of words to say. I mean, I couldn't tell Alpha that I was coming from Nurse Evelyn's place. I know him. He's very inquisitive and smart.

“ My lord, I followed May to one of the grocery shops around. Sorry, I Left without informing you," I lied, faking a certain smile and composure.

Reaching out his hands, Alpha drew me close and hugged me tightly, showing how much he missed my presence.

Then, he noticed something from the way I spoke and looked. So, he pulled me out of his chest, running his eyes in scrutiny at me.

“ Your body burns. Are you sick?" He questioned worriedly, touching my forehead.

Life dropped from me, my body shuddering at the truth I was hiding from Alpha.

“ Ugh, I just noticed it some moments ago but it's fine. May will get me some drugs later" I felt uneasy with my lies.

Telling lies to someone I love was not my thing, but this time, saying the truth would end my relationship with Alpha if revealed.

Worries clouded Alpha's face after I said those words to him. He wanted us to go to the hospital immediately, but I insisted and dragged him to our bedroom just to distract him.

That day, I gave Alpha the best of me on the bed so he could forget about the issue of my health completely.

Surprisingly, after a hot, burning romance, Alpha insisted we see a doctor immediately. He said I was the only good thing that exists to him on earth and that he wants me to be fit for our mating ceremony which is coming up in four days from now.

How messy!

I love Alpha Roman dearly. I can't just bear the pain of losing him but what can I do? I was carrying Alpha Sebastian's child In my womb.

Letting out an uneasy laugh, I jumped on Alpha’s body, faking to be strong just to avoid going to the hospital. I can't believe my love-making strategy didn't work out for him.

“ You don't have to worry about me, my love. I'm fine and don't need to visit the hospital for anything. It is just a minor issue that can be sorted out” I kissed his lips purposefully for a long time.

Finally, I succeeded in convincing Alpha and he sent some to get some drugs for me.

The next day after Alpha left for a business meeting, I secretly lurked out from the mansion to Evenly’s clinic for something that had been disturbing my mind—The pregnancy.

I know my secret is not safe In the hands of the Nurse and my maid, May.

Someday, my wound will be open before everyone but I pretty much don't care about the future now. I just needed to get rid of Alpha Sebastian's child growing in my womb to carry on with my newfound love, Alpha Roman.

Nurse Evelyn’s place was just an hour's drive from the mansion. Immediately after I got In there, she discharged the other patient to attend to me.

“ I want this pregnancy terminated. Please. I can't keep this child" I lamented while she listened to me. I don't know if I should trust the nurse but I had no choice now.

“ Why do you want to terminate Alpha Roman’s heir? You're his mate. Aren't you? “ Evelyn gave me an angry, jealous look, pretending not to know it was someone else’s child I was carrying.

“ I don't know, nurse. But we, I mean, Alpha and I, are not ready to keep this child. We want it terminated," I lied smoothly as if I were speaking to a child.

“ You are not ready for the child?” Evelyn scoffed" How come the child is older than expected? Are you sure Alpha is aware of this? “ She asked me with what seemed like a malicious gleam on her face. I can't read her motives, but I know it was something sinister.

“ Please, I don't have all the time. Just give me anything to get rid of this child, I beg you, "I pleaded, and when Evenly could not bear it, she gave up, agreeing with me.

“ Okay. I will give you some drugs since you don't want the child. Give me ten minutes" She stood up and left.

At exactly ten minutes later, Evelyn returned to me holding one envelope of a small pack of drugs In her hands.

“ Here, take everything immediately when you get home. You’re going to experience severe pain below your abdomen, but don't freak out. That’s how the drug works." Evelyn handed me the drugs, and I thanked her and dashed out.

Getting home, I was told Alpha wasn't back yet. So, I called to find out why, but he told me his business meeting was rescheduled for tomorrow, meaning he would have to stay back in Blackthorn pack for two days.

Shortly after we bid each other goodbye on the phone, I rushed to get water to take the pills Evelyn gave me. I noticed the pills were ten in number altogether but I was instructed to take the ten of them at once.

I was afraid, but I needed the child out to save my relationship.

Opening the pills, I swallowed ten of them at once, almost emitting my body.

Thank goodness Alpha won't be returning home that day. It would be better to manage whatever pain that would come from the effects of the drug when he's not around.

After about twenty minutes, I lay on the bed when a severe pain in my lower abdomen knocked me off the bed.

Screaming, I rolled down the bed soaked in my pool of blood. My stomach was rumbling with serious pain.

Amid the pain, I managed to push my undies down to check something that was stuck in between my woman parts, and I was shocked to see something round, clothed with blood all over.

I screamed in pain and fear, my stomach killing me as if I would die the next minute.

Blood covered everywhere in the room from the bed down to where I lay on the floor in pain.

Down in me was something stuck in between my legs that couldn't move out. This made me lose my breath and almost give up to death but little did I know my womb had been ruptured in the process.
